Jam update for winter units?

How about someone with a little bit of spare time (that excludes me ) makes an update pbo to add JAM to the Winter units included in the Winter Nogojev Island?

once we´re talking about this:

i was thinking of adding JAM compatibility to the nampack.

first for private use only, but if it´s ok for the the NAMpack creators, i´d publish the config.

Great idea - considering that the 'Nam creators are mostly BAS members as well (and thus already involved in JAM), it would be great if they could release a kind of 'official patch' for JAM (and maybe the worst 'invisible wall' problems on Ia Trang, too). Alternatively it would be nice if you could (and are allowed) release your pbo to the public.

well i hope to get the permission, as i am starting to copy and paste the JAM magazine entries into the nampack weapon config right now

i thought of two projects:

*JAM comatibility ONLY

(requires scripts and inits to use JAM mags on units)

*JAM conversion

(adds appropriate JAMv2 weapons and ammo to the excisting NAMpack units)

now its up to evis, ebud and stt deciding whether to allow me or not to publish it once it´d be finished, since i wont continue any work on it if i couldnt share it with the community

Go for the complete conversion, that way you can also update the smgs (since JAM2 doesnt have a direct replacement for them). I've already done a merge myself, but all it does is copy the recoil, rate of fire, and sounds of the JAM guns. I tell you what though, it makes the NamPack brand new again

this would sure save me alot of effort instead of adding all the weapons by hand... roll on the JAM winter and Nam kit!

i had just finished converting the weapons to be JAM compatible and 4 unit- pbos to total JAM conversion.

so i´m glad to hear that i can spare my time on that, b/c STT is gonna improve them with (maybe) even appropriate JAM configs

Good idea. There are several trop packs that need JAM updating:

HK Pack 1 & 2

STT Desert Units

Winter Troops

etc.

as far as i know, vipersheart was going to update his HK packs anyways.

since he joined up with BAS to help them with their JAM stuff, he´s also going to gives his HK packs JAM.

but i´m gonna have a look over the desert troops today, if i wont be too busy at work
