miles teg 1 Posted November 3, 2003 Yeah the IDF Squad page has some of the older IDF addons that are fairly good. However the Lost Brother Mod team is making a whole new set of IDF and Middle Eastern addons. So far the M113 Zelda APC is pretty much finished (I posted screenshots on ofp.info awhile back) and we're finishing up a Centurion Sho't tank and a Merkava Mk2. Mooncaine can give more info on the status of the Merkava. The Centurion is finished but needs work on the textures on the turret and on the reactive armor boxes. I'm also hopeing to find someone who knows how to script the reactive armor boxes as proxies that disappear as the dammage level increases (simulating the reactive armor boxes explosing when it). Vipersheart is still leading the team but things seemed to have slowed down a bit since he joined BAS. But the LoBo mod is still his baby so I don't think he's going to abandon us. Even if he did, we'd at least release what we have, but I don't think he'll leave. He's just been busy with real life as most of our members are. Also I should add that Vit has released a IDF UH-60 blackhawk recently as well (on ofp.info). So that's another good IDF addon to get. For Middle Eastern forces there's a wide range to pick from. But the upcoming LoBo demo pack will have Egyptian and possibly Jordanian troops and vehicles. Anyways, while we lack a website at the moment, the mod is still alive and well. miles teg 1 Posted November 4, 2003 Yeah we might make a IDF Uganda mission using the Tonal island simulating the daring Entebe hostage rescue in Uganda. We already have a reskinned C130 that I just need to rename the texturepaths and classnames for. But Panzerfaust already made us an amazing Sanai map. We're just having problems getting some objects and textures from Catshit's Afghanistan map into the Sanai map's folder (by renaming the texture paths and class names). We have his permission to use the objects however so that parts cool...but currently it requires the entire CATintro.pbo which is HUGE and just not practical and the objects are binarized which makes them difficult to modify without special tools that don't work on my computer. So hopefully someone on the LoBo team willl get that problem fixed soon.
