m21man 0 Posted January 30, 2004 Of course, there are those crazy tank missions in Red Hammer, like that one where you take on six M60s in a T-72 ... Pathy 0 Posted January 31, 2004 That mission, where you have loads of tanks, the enemy come along the road.....so i raced to the end of the plain (its marked on the map, stopped under shelter of the hill and turned round and destroyed them one by one as they tried to come along the road. Lost one BMP, and some others took damage, but did ok
EiZei 0 Posted February 1, 2004 FDF part one cant wait for part two even though ive kind of figured out whats going to happen Dont be so sure.. I actually couldn't be arsed to finish resistance campaign, I just did the campaign cheat and watched the cutscenes.
Pipski 0 Posted February 2, 2004 I found the FDF missions a disappointment too, I'd really been looking forward to them. The early ones were pretty good, before it all kicks off but most of the later ones just felt like anonymous brawls that all merge together in the memory. lmao the first time I heard the soldiers going `blah blah' in Marge Simpson's voice though. Some of the single missions were okay but, bizarrely, the one I found most enjoyable was the UAV training mission! Some of the others were just too random. Mind you, for a classic game OFP has a lot of very, very s**t missions when you think about it. Most of which would be a lot less frustrating and dull if it wasn't for the `one save' rule. I hope to God that OFP2 allows Quicksaves as often as desired.

Haven't played a mission with a single save for ages.
Elminster 0 Posted February 3, 2004 The game would only be half as exciting with indefinite saves. How about that marvellous fear to die before the mission is done? A lot of the combat atmosphere would be lost.
lonesoldier 0 Posted February 13, 2004 CWC - Pretty freaking good. Although some missions weren't very good. RH - Shit. Didn't like it at all. Resistance - Killer. I loved the way you had to conserve everything, and collect weapons and ammo. Pretty good missions too. Although I HATE having to control other team members. I prefer to either play on my own, or be in a squad, but not as a leader. Overall... I'd say CWC is best.
jantenner 0 Posted February 18, 2004 hi there, just finished res and played cwc 2 years ago cwc: nice campaign, i like especially the first few missions where you are under command. i didnt like the aircraft missions, and the tank ones were rather mediocre to the storyline i lost overview and forget. res: hmmm.. nogova looks a bit like fantasy island, first three islands were better. hardest mission by far is the ammo low one where you attack the convoy and have to tell the ai NOT to shoot the trucks... after that i was surprised how easy it was, if you found the right approach which was mostly clear. i didnt care about collecting stuff and always had plenty of all last 3 missions i almost did the same.. sneak up to town alone as a sniper, ai in bmp and t80 waiting behind.. collecting targets, then i sniped rpg guys and told ai to advance. liberating the capital city of nogova was rather hilarious, after the easy taken fortification all infantry from the city ran up to me only to be mowed down by t80 and bmp... last mission was easy too.. hardest moment at the beginning to shoot the 4 spec ops incoming, then i ran up that huge hill and sniped the base empty.. after some minutes some russian tanks come up driving around and finally stopping at the end of the airstrip (instead of defending the base?) so i was safe to go down.. picked up a pk and emptied the magazines on the aircrafts only to see me stupidly killed in the next cutscene ..:) good thing is i now almost completely understand the command menu and resulting ai behaviour
