Clik on map ????

is there a script, so that i can add a simple artillary script (where it just fires in the trigger) and be able to clik on the map to select the position for the shells to bombard  rock.gif

And also, when you put 'this switchmove "e.g commandfire" is there a way for the guy not to change to 'SAFE' and back again, coz he goes to the waypoint, goes to safe mode, waves his hand around, comes out of safe mode and carrys on  crazy_o.gif

There are tens if not hundreds of such scripts.

The best two at the moment are:

SnYpir's Support script which includes different types of artilery shells as well heli pickups and CAS and a host of other goodies.

Next is Dinger's Artilery script which is commonly seen as the most accurate representation of artilery using cameracreate functions.

Both are available here along with thousands of simpler versions without all the bells and whistles. http://www.ofpec.com/

There is a simple artillery function whithin the Command Engine from the The Chain of Command (click my sig to get there)

BUT The most important advance in OFP Artilery is about to be released.

It is called the Unified Artilery (UA) system from the CoC in conjunction with several of the other big MODs in OFP BAS, UK Forces, DKM and of course SEB.

It is True Indirect Fire from any in game artillery addon that is modded to the UA system and set up to register with the system. It is AI usable too  wink_o.gif

You will see the official release date soon

Any one who wishes to mirror the file on their site needs to contact me or dinger via email.

We are now considering Release Candidate 4.

We are writing press releases we are also looking for news sites who want access to the review file a few days before release.

Dinger will put up a proper notice here a day or so before release.

Other than that the beta testers are having fun Battlefield 1985 style missions with real artilery is awsome as are Coops with prep fire and danger close shell shields. The sound of that express train screaming in fills you with dredd if its incomming or short or even close. Add to that the AI reacts to it and you get some idea how much fun it is.

And like I said the AI can call in fire too.

... in other words: in development terms, 1.0 is ready to go. Now we're working on release logistics.

I guess Walker was posting before his coffee or something. (hmm... probably tea up there).

Anyway, yes, it is good fun for the family, and press (=ofp websites) and potential hosting sites should drop us a line statim.

To be honest, I want it out tomorrow. I think Walker wants it out a week from tomorrow. So you can guess it'll be out sometime between then.

CoC Arty thing is the best that i've ever seen you guys. You should get that, but I don't think you can do it over the map with this. This is more......complicated wink_o.gif
