earl 0 Posted September 15, 2003 DOWNLOAD for "Current Conflict USMC Rifleman": http://www.mtco.com/games/downloads/USMCbeta3.zip The main project we are working on isn't out yet, but the Current Conflict USMC rifleman shown above was released in BETA form, and is a small look at the style of work we are doing. Â It includes an M16A2 with a high detail iron sight view.

stgn 39 Posted September 15, 2003 That ironsight is gorgious!, absolutely the bogs dollox!! ... It may be beuteful but it is rong first of sights arn't green(unless u paint them) and there arn't no scrus on the A2 sight this clearly indicates that this is a removeable carryhandle. STGN Well, black textures get messed up when texView converts them... sometimes they can turn green. For the most part the iron sights look gray though (it's just the picture fooling you). Scorpio 0 Posted September 15, 2003 Indeed, its quite hard to get a perfect grey. Most of the time my grey textures turn out more bluer than usual when converted through texview. Green base colour is the best way to go.
earl 0 Posted September 15, 2003 You're right about the screw on the carry handle, but remember that it was a quick beta release to give people something to play with - not our main project. The sight picture looks worse when it's greyscale. It doesn't feel like it's part of the game. This was deliberately green. I was having problems with the rifle colour because I hadn't recalculated normals after import, so the lighting in-game was all weird, and that really made the gun take on some weird colour and brightness. I tried to fix it by altering the textures, and later on realized the problem. But a greenish/yellowish hue makes the weapon 'fit' better in OFP than a greyscale or bluish rifle. Trust me, I've tried it all.
