Matthijs 40 Posted August 19, 2003 Source: http://mods.kmarns.net/ Currently, a new, improved, Diemaco series assault rifles is in the works. The new set will be "Addons At Ease" compliant, JAM compatabile, provide versions with several international designations, and it will include the C8 carabine in several different configurations. Our main objective is to create a set that includes all versions that are in use with the Royal Netherlands' Marine Corps (RNLMC, or KMarns in Dutch). As a spinoff, we will also include versions that are in use with the Dutch Army Comando Corps, like the C8 with Aimpoint. Versions with M203 will be included for Canadians. As a little extra for our Danish fans, we will also include versions that are the same in every respect, exept for the names, like M95 etc. If you think you can help us with this, or anything else, please do! CanadianTerror 0 Posted August 19, 2003 Sounds good! It's kind of hard to tell from the above pic but are the textures as blue as the last version? This was IMO one of the things that stood out.
9mm 0 Posted August 20, 2003 Will the Royal Netherlands' Marine Corps Addon be re-released with defautl JAM gear loadouts?

Cloney 0 Posted August 20, 2003 It's really nice to see other mod-makers go along with the JAM Initiative and update their mods. Anyway, nice work Matthijs, as usual I'll be downloading this addon.
Matthijs 40 Posted August 20, 2003 Will the Royal Netherlands' Marine Corps Addon be re-released with defautl JAM gear loadouts? Yes. However, I can't tell you anything about a release date, simply because I don't know. Modelling is only one out of 3 hobbies.

Ok, thanks for your feedback. "Reduce blue in skin" noted on todo list.

9mm 0 Posted August 24, 2003 Unfortunately JAM ATM doesn't cover C-mags, but i hope you still will let them stay in the pack? What about a neat feature from the never aging HK Pack, changing regular box magazine to Beta-C one affects the weapon model (rather scripted switching between them, but it still looks great). BTW, looks like that this time Colt fallowed Dirmaco. Diemaco Light Support Weapon Colt Automatic Rifle

(...) Beta C mag will stay in. I still have to decide on the way I will implement JAM compatability. The LSW has a different ROF from the regular C7's, so it will require it's own mag type anyway. I might make the weapons have their own magazine classes, and accept JAM mags too. I'll have a look at the features from the HK pack.
CrunchyFrog 0 Posted September 8, 2003 Hey... Any progress? Can you give a list of versions you are planning to include? Will there be C7 and C8 versions with M203A1 grenadelaunchers on? Really looking forward to this addon... And that doesnt happen alot
Matthijs 40 Posted September 9, 2003 The bad news: I started all over, completely reskinning and rebuilding all models. What I did is rip all models apart, into small manageable pieces, all in 5 LODS+viewpoint LOD. The separate models I currently have is: - Receiver w. carrying handle - Receiver flat top - Iron sight for flat top - Elcan optics - Aimpoint CompML red dot - Fixed buttstock - Collapsable buttstock - Rifle barrel - Carbine barrel - Carbine barrel with RIS system - Magazine, plastic The good news: Models are ready. Also, both versions of the receiver are just about finished skinning. It's only a matter of shaving off some rough edges, which will take me about an hour, so I should be ready to get on with the rest tomorrow. I used as many detailes images as I could find, to make it as accurate as possible. I have no idea when it will be finished. It might well be that it will not be finished before december this year, as I only have about 6 hours per week, to work on this. Only the C7 will have a single/burst version. The rest will be single/auto. The requested list of models: C7 (single-burst) C7/M203 (single-burst) C7 (single-auto) C7/M203 (single-auto) C7A1 (iron sight) C7A1/M203 (iron sight) C7A1 (Elcan optics) C7A1/M203 (Elcan optics) C7 LSW (iron sight) C7 LSW (Elcan optics) C7 LSW w. Beta C-Mag (iron sight) C7 LSW w. Beta C-Mag (Elcan optics) C8 C8/M203 C8A1 (iron sight) C8A1 (Elcan optics) C8SFW (iron sight) C8SFW (Elcan Optics) C8SFW (Aimpoint red dot) C8SFW w. RIS (Aimpoint red dot) C8SFW w. RIS (Elcan Optics) C8SFW w. RIS & M203 (iron sight) C8SFW w. RIS & M203 (Elcan optics) C8SFSW w. RIS, bipod & Beta C-Mag (iron sight) C8SFSW w. RIS, bipod & Beta C-Mag (Elcan Optics) Also, for cosmetic purposes: - all versions will be provided as variants with plastic and metal magazines. - Some configurations will be made available with the Danish M9x designation using a separate PBO, to allow for easy modification. Soooo... there's still a long way to go. Don't expect anything this week... ok?

9mm 0 Posted September 9, 2003 Do A1 weapons with iron sights have carrying handle removed?
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted September 9, 2003 I think so. The normar with Iron sights is the C7/C8. The one with rail system is the C7A1/C8A1. The iron sights used on them are the small blocks that could be seen in the previous version of this addon. (at least in the Netherlands they use these)
Matthijs 40 Posted September 10, 2003 Do A1 weapons with iron sights have carrying handle removed? Yes. All A1 variants have no carrying handle. Perfect for use in humid conditions : For the people that want to play around, try my earlyer Diemaco pack. You can download it from http://mods.kmarns.net Keep in mind that the new version will have a different tag, to make it AAE compliant!
