Resistance: trap

Hi there!

I have big problems with the mission "Trap" in Resistance.

I kill the two tanks coming up the road with satchels - no prob. But then I have to attack the city and I don't know how to get this done and survive.

At the place that's marked with "Tanks & Resupplies" on the map I have only a lousy T55 and that's it.

So, if I get to close to the city some guys with RPG's end my life. If I try to attack on foot the sheer mass of enemies finish me and my guys off really fast. To make frustration perfect, there are these three tanks coming in from north after a while.

If I call for help via the radio both tank-groups get killed rather fast.

So - has anyone a good tip how to attack and survive?

I just take my tank high speed down the hii into the town and hit the infantry with my tank.

One of the ways I did this was give everyone RPG's. Me and one teammate will take out the first two tanks. Then I load up and take the two T55s to town with the patrol. send in the other tanks and clear the town as fast as you can.

Then get out of your tanks and take up positions around the city. As the next wave of tanks come in your guys with all RPG's should mop them up pretty well.

Otherwise you can take your team with RPG's to the forest the tanks come from and destroy them there and then procceed to clear the city.

Both worked for me.

also if u only have the t55s u could get a t-80s t-72's and bmps and what not from the mission forgot the name and such the one where u attack the town/base at night wwhere some fo the russians r partying on top of the mountain..(some one plz name the mission) well if u still the tanks u keep them for the rest of them game or till they get blown up.

There are two squads of troops that you can come up quietly from behind through the forest alone with a bizon. Eliminate the troops, take the rpg's. move south to the town. Sneak up to the tank/bmp squads and eliminate the 50 gunners, tankers, and if you can the infantry squad as your tanks are rolling in. Then use the tank or better yet the rpgs on the 3 tanks from the north.

I sneak up from the south in a T-55 and nail the tank crews and .50 cals with HEAT rounds. Steal the T-80 and have some fun!
