BrutalStriker 0 Posted November 1 Hello, I am a new player in arma 3. I liked every details that this game has along with the dlcs that have added tons of new weapons and vehicles. But it would be even better if there comes a new arma 3 dlc which includes some more nato and csat towed artillery including the M777 Towed Howitzer , the PzH 2000 Howitzer and Msta B, some heavy machine guns like the DShK and a few more modern MBTs, aircrafts(Helicopters and fixed wing fighter jets) and arms like Barrett M82 sniper, M4A1 etc . Gunter Severloh 4054 Posted November 1 Hello, Welcome to Bi forums and to Arma 3! Imo we dont need any DLC's with new weapons, theres a ton of mods that can give you what your looking for. Search through the workshop https://steamcommunity.com/app/107410/workshop/ and type in the names of those weapons you want to play with. If there had been a dlc made, then I guess it would have no chance of a conflict. Also there might be a chance of overlapping of weapons if I install mods. Gunter Severloh 4054 Posted November 1 Most of the time no because the vanilla game uses certain classnames and if a mod adds the same weapon they most likely have a different classname, sounds and other things, and it would show up as an added weapon. So you would basically see another variant of the same thing. Only time there is going to be a conflict with something between vanilla and a mod is if the same functions, classnames, code are being used, however its hard to tell what will conflict. From what i know if you had a weapon in the vanilla game, and a mod added the same weapon did everything the same but changed the sound then the vanilla weapon would just be updated using the new addition functions ect,. So as long as you had used the mod you would see, hear the changes for whatever that mod did, so the mod just updates the vanilla asset like a patch but doesn't actually overwrite or change the actual code in the file itself, it just acts as a placeholder til you remove it from being loaded. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
