Mission stuck in loop

I've been running a dedicated Linux server for some time now but sometimes will get this weird mission loop problem that I can't seem to figure out.
We do run mods and our mission maker will send us his modlist that he used when making the mission in Eden. So all of the addons should be lined up.

The log file was too big for pastebin so I uploaded it to GitHub. You can find it below.

OS: Ubuntu Server 24.04

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H

RAM: 32GB - 3,200MHZ

From your github rpt you have these issues going on:

My suggestion is to create mod profiles based on what missions your going to play, loading a ton of mods for every mission and having

the server set at persistent is asking for chaos, why you have an issue, theres just some mods/dlc that aren't working together.

Some mods that get unloaded because another mod does something similar or theres a conflict, then theres script errors ect,.

Your rpt is essentially spamming because of all this, imo you need to keep your mod setup simple, setup your commandline with profiles of mods for specific missions that you play,

this way your not running features from a mod that your not using or would ever use in a certain mission.

I also assumed it was something due mods possibly conflicting each other and being incompatible. Our group has already expressed grief with the mission maker that we have too many mods but not sure that will change.

I will also try turning off persistence to see if that fixes anything.

One thing I forgot to mention that these missions that don't work on the server, will work just fine if the mission maker hosts the mission on his computer. Not sure if that leads to any clues but wanted to throw that out here.

Can't these be ignored? I thought this was something to do with cfg patches file and doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Thats a given, because the mission is local to his computer, it helps that it works though it should also work on the server np,

but dedicated requires certain code and scripts to be used vs mp lan, or even singleplayer.

Yes but its still going to spam, so ideally if the mission is running ok then just disable the server logs (rpt) in the server.cfg

so that its not being spammed into.

Set it to none in the Server.cfg like this:

// LOGGING
timeStampFormat = "none";

If a mission isn't loading then set the timestamps on full, if it is and theres no issues then set it to none, they dont need to be on.

Make your changes in the server.cfg save it and restart the server, be sure to stop the server prior to making changes otherwise they wont apply.

Your guy's issue as i pointed out earlier is the number of mods your using which is causing issues in various areas, you wont miss out because theres only

so much you can experience in a mission at any given play time. This is why you play multiple types of missions that utilize the various types of mods.

You either reduce and or eliminate some mods or your going to keep getting the same issues.

Then you should have him fix the server, and learn first hand what works and what dont when it comes to a mission on a server most especially

when it comes to using alot of mods. Less is more in Arma.

Understood and 100% agree. Sounds like our only option moving forward is to trim the fat and remove any mods not explicitly used in the mission.

This is what I thought initially but wanted another opinion so I greatly appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Wanted to give an update on this as we have solved the problem.

Turns out, It wasn't the quantity of mods that was causing issues. It was two identical mods (they were different versions) that were loaded in and causing class name issues.

Good deal, nice find, i had figured it was related to the mods i know alot of mods can cause issues but there were some conflicts there, and

as always your best bet was to do a process of elimination to see what mods were creating the issue.

But 2 mods doing about the same thing ya that will definitely cause problems. Glad you guys figured it out!
