Ai friendly cqb

"CQB upgrade" PCStreets v1.09 for OFP1.75 by Philcommando

This simpler community compliant ( not bis) zip consists of:-

upgraded PCstreet1.pbo:-

A. PCstreet1 - weathered textured shophouse with whole roof and alley way access.

B. PCstreet2:- weathered textured single storey quaters with alley way access.

C. PCstreet3:- entire AI access plot area

New:-

D. PCsteet4:- AI team enterable single storey building.

E. PCstreet4a:- optional objects layout with "moveincargo' seats for 16 persons to accompany PCstreet4.

F. PCstreet 5:- bombed out debris PCstreet2.

G. Streetest15 intro:- preview "mission" to show 3 AI teams entering PCstreet4/4a.

H. Streetest16 intro:- preview "mission" to show 1 Ai team exiting building

I. Streetest18 intro:- preview sample mission( grab general guba and escape from building ).

Purpose:- to show  sample placement of triggers and waypoints and a general buildings layout on desert island for you to copy and paste buildings onto other islands.

( need the Editor uprade and Streetlamp addons to play)

To use:-

1.Unzip PCstreet1.zip into temp folder.

2.copy and paste PCStreet1 into OFP addons folder. It will overwrite existing PCStreet1.pbo.

3.Copy and paste the intros into player missions folder in ofp. Just open mission editor > desert island and look for the missions, hit preview, everything is auto.

Known bugs:-

1. sometimes Ai does not enter CQB building. workaround:- shift the addon around the area. I suspect that there are AI pixel info that is not present on that pixel ground.

2. There are areas AI cannot enter but u can place soldiers inside. They are the communications room, filing room, commandant's room and vault room.

3. The dimension of the addon has been widened to prevent overlapping, so if u have existing layout, u can either copy and paste from the new preview missions or dont download this upgrade.

PS. I am not Frank Lloyd Wright or a finishing artist. The purpose of these addons are to show that it is possible to get AI soldiers to be more involved in missions. Now that its possible, less time will be needed to research and more emphasis can be placed on the quality without compromising processor lag.

Luke, the addon is not binarized, thats why u cant add it in wrp. I did not binarize it so that any other addon maker who needs an idea for CQB ( Close Quater Battle ) can use it as a reference to improve upon it for their own addons.

Furthermore, i dont think this addon is good enough for any user made island for distribution as so far, these addons are still in its experimental stages for there are many areas which needs to be experimented,improved and updated upon. I release it now only to show that there are .....er...no roofs( hehe..:D:p wink_o.gif ) to the future development potential of ofp for addon makers.

For those who have problems downloading, thanks to editing man/hotshot who has provided a link from their great addon site, u can try it there.

but phil...........these addons would be dam cool on maps

u actually, i reckon made cqb possible for ofp!!!!!!!!!

i played it and was shocked on wat u were able to do

indoor battles that dont screw up

plz make these addons possible for maps

even though its just beta or experimental stages
