Ofp wont start anymore....

Recommended Posts

Basically I went on for a game an hour ago and I get to the codemasters sign, then the game crashes to desktop.

It happened no matter what the resolution was on OFP or my desktop (I play OFP usually on 1600x1200 and my desktops on 1156xsomething...), however, when I take off HW and T&L OFP loads but runs at about 0.5 fps.... even on the lowest resolution.

Can anyone tell me what the hells going on, if its a monitor problem or OFP problem, or even if it could be a virus...

My system is a p4 3.06 ghz, Gigabyte Intel 865PE mobo, RADEON 9800p, 2ghz of PC320 DDR ram, 120 gig HDD with 8meg cache, and a 19" monitor. Now OFP shouldnt be choppy on that system..... hell, I can run UT2003 and Ravenshield at the same time without problems, so if anyone can help me it would be great, cheers.

Screen resolution! Check your Flashpoint.cfg file and see if the number there is still 1600x1200. Also try doing the Flashpoint Preferences thang.....before you load OFP.

From that error report appears to have that 0 refresh thing.

Something about unable to get the refresh rate from XP.

Have you tried rerunning OFP Preferences?

Backup the following two files, then delete them:

\OperationFlashpoint\FlashPoint.cfg

\OperationFlashpoint\users\yourPlayerName\userinfo.cfg

Then run the Preferences program and click AUTODETECT.

Then try starting OFP.

Running OFP on newer system is crap because they're not supported, like the SB live! sad_o.gif Really I poo on that card.

But the're will be OFP2 and if they say it true that you can use old addons and islands we can play 1985 in ofp2... wink_o.gif
