wow After a very long download, I sat through 30-40 minutes of lectures (that's right, virtually walked into a class room, sat down, and watched a lecture in 3D), passed the medic test. for kicks I re-qualified with the M16. got 39 out of 40 which is much better than i've ever done before, so of course i had to do the sniper qualifications, which were easier than the M16 qualification. and i'm already airborne qualified so now I'm an airborne sniper combat medic.

one question though, who's the cute girl I got to sit next to during each lecture?

Just like some others here, I play AA to get some CQC that OFP doesn't give. My honor is currently 33 and I only play Weapons Cache SE, but honor is BS. The ones with 60+ can't do much else than playing this game And I've such high honors playing shite and hiding behind other players as a human shield just to stay alive and get some points to increase their honor. Bah. Play it for fun and not for the "honor points"!

I just downloaded 1.9 by itself.

The medic training was... unique. I've never been to a virtual lecture before, or taken a virtual test.

All that to just walk up to wounded soldiers and "use" them. I bet they walk around fighting like normal then too.

I don't get this. I've completed every training level this thing has but I'm still not qualified to to MOUT McKenna? I found an unlocked server that does MOUT but it says I'm not qualified. this is getting frustrating

Downloaded AA couple o' days ago, but I need a new 3d-card too good graphics for my TNT2 (what an old crappy card that is). It's gonna take a month or two before I get it so... BLAAH

Apparently the servers are down for 1.9, and you cant join a 1.8 server.

This would explain every time I click the "medic" button I get booted to the main menu.

Does anyone have an idea when the 1.9 servers will be open? Why 1.9 was released early when there are no servers available?

As you are probably aware, 1.9 was accidentally released prematurely.

Given that it is already in people's hands, we have decided to turn Authing on for 1.9, so that those of you who have it can complete medic qualification, and those of you who are so inclined can run servers.

We are working as hard as we can and as fast as we can to get everything else necessary done so that we can put up the official servers.

We hope that you will have patience as we work to ensure that when the servers do go up, everything will go smoothly.

1.9 and Authentication Servers

The full version everyone has was a leaked install - it is the full install but by mistake it came out early. For this reason no servers are up and running with this version. They have enabled Authorization for Medic training but nothing else. I would expect that when both the full install and the patch are released then the authentication servers will be enabled for all maps. Read This post for more info!

Are you actually reading this stuff? Your regular personnel jacket is still there, all you have to do is log in.

Ask any of my squadmates, and they'll tell you that this is what I've thought that AA needed most.
