Gummi 0 Posted May 9, 2003 I was just wondering why my landcontact lod/selections doesn't. 4 vertexes.. selections: levy predni tlumic levy zadni tlumic pravy predni tlumic pravy zadni tlumic Now the car is still half in the ground... i realy need this working, know the problem? thanks
philcommando 0 Posted May 10, 2003 ensure the landcontact vertices are on the base of the wheel in landcontact LOD and ensure the wheel is on the 0 xy axis. In geometry LOD your wheel can be on the 0 xy axis or preferably about a quarter box down if u find the model bouncing in game.
Gummi 0 Posted May 11, 2003 ok, i solved the landcontact problem before. but the car bounces VERY much, i just cant fix that, can u give me some better description how?
scousejedi 0 Posted May 12, 2003 What is the mass of the car? Place the most mass down at the bottom and you should see an improvement.
Gummi 0 Posted May 13, 2003 ok thanks i'll try that
AXE 0 Posted May 13, 2003 make sure the landcontact points are below the wheels in the geometry lod, otherwise the geometry lod is on the ground and causes bouncing.
Nic 0 Posted May 14, 2003 I had a silimlar prob with my vehicles bouncing just the other day...i found out that you need to make sure that the wheels in the geo lod arent too detailed, too much detail can be too much for the engine to handle. Just an idea...good luck
Gummi 0 Posted May 14, 2003 well each wheel is only 8 vertextes so its not that... im going to combine all the ideas to slove the problem. I'll post again if everything is still the same
