Badgerboy 0 Posted May 9, 2003 Easy, use Clony XL (Or Clony XXL for XP/2K) Clony will scan your disk, and save the settings needed for a perfect copy into CloneCD. Then simply burn it! You may get read errors in CloneCD while reading/burning but this is perfectly normal. I copied my OFP disk, and now I use my backup to play with. It's a wise choice, as I've already hads to send my Resistance disk back to CM for a replacement and it took two bloody weeks! (Newer versions of Clony will not export the settings to CloneCD. You will need to get a slightly older copy to get it to work, or enter all the changes manually into CloneCD)
Dadster 0 Posted May 9, 2003 I really don't think we should be telling people how to copy discs here. Anyone can come on and claim to want a legal copy so it's garbage to believe that and post a response. I have over 70 games and probably over 125 game CDs and I've never had a problem with one yet. So unless you're playing frisbee with them you don't need a backup. Plus, I don't know about BIS but if you really do screw up your CD most game companies will replace it for a minimal cost if you send in the original. To give a copy to a friend? To give a copy to your girlfriend? To keep the copy and sell the original on eBay? I could list a lot more, but just the fact that you can't figure this out seems to question your motives. Dadster
Bulbous 0 Posted May 9, 2003 Or the original isn't yours, or you don't really have the original and you want to make a copy of a copy...
Major Fubar 0 Posted May 10, 2003 Wasn't a thread identical to this already closed yesterday? You might wanna take a hint... My 2 cents: legitimate backup's and no-CD patches for personal use when you own a legal copy aren't warez, but it has been established in the past that the moderators of this board don't agree. If you keep posting topics like this you are likely to get banned - just a warning.

If you keep posting topics like this you are likely to get banned - just a warning.<span id='postcolor'> Exactly To prevent problems with the disc surfaces if you play too much and have an ageing CD drive , you can use the nocd if you own a legal copy no need to make a back up of the OFP CD, most of the people that play OFP use it without problem and can keep their CD safe (and use it only for reinstall after that) . If you use it on an illegal copy , you will certainly have problem with the FADE so i dont actually see the problem some people have with nocd, as far as i know it is not something to circumvent FADE protection. And to thanks BIS for this incredible game, people must buy it , it worthes any dollar, euro , credit , sesterces , florins , crowns, louis d'or you will spend. You can find it cheap nowadays , so shame on people that warez it But i think we will see LOCKED or Closing sooner or later
