Recommended Posts

Ive reformated my hard drive more than 3 times, ive installed and uninstalled OFP and resistance countless number of times, ive downloaded the patch countless number of times to make sure theres no error, and ive even went to buy a brand new OFP and resistance CD and i still get the same error from upgrading from 1.45 to either 1.90 or 1.91, the erro i get is:

Verifying Operation Flashpoint, version 1.75...

Error found in file Res\AddOns\O.pbo (012e4bac!=cc7df6c5)

Error found in file Res\Campaigns\resistance.pbo (1996a085!=0c7911e4)

Operation Flashpoint: Updating version 1.75 to version 1.90...

Some error occurred during patch installation.

Patch file is probably dammaged. You may need to download it again.

Error in file RES\ADDONS\O.pbo, phase 1.

I get this error every single time, ive try everything. I heard of somethig with the VIA but i dont know what that is and i dont know what to do with it once i know what it is and such.

These are my system specs:

800mhz AMD Athlon

GeForce2 MX/MX 400

384 mb of ram

Windows XP Pro.

and i dont know what else info to give.

PLEASE HELP!!!! I want to use the new stuff which is out like the repeling, play online, practically anything the Ballistic team made and others. PLease help.

Some systems based on VIA chipsets will experience data corruption unless the BIOS initializes the chipset correctly (which many don't), or unless the VIA 4-in-1 drivers are installed, which perform the necessary steps.

You can get the drivers at the VIA Arena website.

Just install the 4-in-1 drivers from the site I mentioned, that will program the chipset properly to avoid the data corruption problem. It may also greatly improve performance.

You can check with the manufacturer of your motherboard to see if a new BIOS is available, but using the 4-in-1 drivers is a workable solution for Windows-based system. If you were using an OS that isn't supported by the drivers, you'd have to get a new BIOS, but that isn't the case here.
