IsthatyouJohnWayne 0 Posted May 2, 2003 'they don't have a gun problem in the UK' Depends where you're at and compared to what. Drive slowly through some estates in Brixton ,Streatham or somewhere in London at about 11:30pm playing country and western music (or something) and i guarantee someone would put a cap in yo ass. So to speak.

Warin 0 Posted May 2, 2003 Try this one out! This guy writes pretty decent fantasy novels. He's an avid handgun shooter... or was. He's starting a new party in the uk. My favourite quote from his webpage: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">The Labour Party has achieved a level of incompetence, sleaze and general untrustworthiness in six years that took the Conservative Party eighteen, while the Conservative Party itself is still in a state of glassy-eyed shock following its well-earned and self-inflicted electoral defeats in 1997 and 2001.<span id='postcolor'> This is a good paper he wrote on legal firearms ownership in regards to the firearms laws enacted after Dunblaine. All around he's a bit of a crank, but a very intelligent man.

IsthatyouJohnWayne 0 Posted May 2, 2003 That guys certainly right about the need for a new political party. Lots of people i know have suggested the same thing (and i feel a need for one myself). I suppose its true of many or most developed countries where a certain disillusionment with traditional party political representative democracy is being felt. Vote ITYJohnWayne! Now with 10% more agenda ! flavoursome social welfare initiatives and a 'random foreign policy change of the week' prize draw.. Todays draw.... East-side crips might but a redneck will just put a load of buckshot in your ass. They don't do gangfights in the streets either. Many rednecks live too far away from other people (much less cities) to worry about street crime. Actually, I live in Alabama and somebody within about 100 miles of here did a driveby with a Remington 12-gauge from a John-Deere... i think a pig was involved... Jinef 2 Posted May 3, 2003 I saw some people in the countryside playing with airsoft guns, they were camouflaged up and had replica SA80s without the little red thing, i actually thought at first they were the RAF regiment or something out on an exercise because of their postures and gear but then i saw the safety goggles and i thought that must be fun, and as it's in the countryside no one cares much. But in a city carrying a pocketknife is illegal, my dad (an american ) has had numerous pocket knives confiscated, so he goes and buys a new one from a shop, crazy. He keeps writing letters to the police about knives and how they are useful etc but you are still not meant to carry them but anyway i'm rambling. You don't need much intelligence to kill someone and a weapon always helps, take away the weapons and you have less dead and injured people. If an armed police officer unit is called in they will not hesitate to kill you if they think you are presenting a threat to an innocent or themselves. If it turns out to be a replica the blame should die with the idiot who brought it into the streets in the first place.

Epita 0 Posted May 3, 2003 Where do you live? Its over now, so handing in will get u Busted! But the police will not have guns, so just fire a bb at them and see how pissed of they are! (do NOT do this) No one cares round here when I go into a nearby field and test out my aim, with a rep. Only it can fire darts, which are NASTY. Im not handing anything in, who would? IsthatyouJohnWayne 0 Posted May 3, 2003 "you should go to Swansea" No you shouldnt. Stay away. Jinef- How the heck does your dad manage to get pocket knives confiscated? Does he throw them at the police or just flick them out randomly whilst in the street? As i understand it the police will generally only confiscate pocket knives if they (having seen them) suspect malicious intent (especially if said knives are over 3 inches or have a lockable blade). Ive actually been searched by the police when they gave me back my knife I habitually carry a pocket knife and i have never feared getting it confiscated. A friend of mine used to carry a sharpened screwdriver around with him. But he was crazy Anyway back on (soon to be closed) topic , if this amnesty has saved a single life then it must be worth it.
