What's going on with them? they had a nice looking merkava, but it appears the mod has died and it may never be completed

Well i suppose they will be making a return I herd the guy heading the mod can't remember the name has joined the German Army and has halted produection of everything unil he comes back.

Some other guys had posted that they would keep the mod going in the meantime. They didnt do anything at all.

Then It was supposed to start up again and didnt happen.

and that's leads us to today where nothing is still happening.

yeah, that's what i figured. Its too bad, the ofp community needs more IDF addons.

i don´t know if Vipersheart (Modleader) is really coming back, but regular German Army Duty is for 9 Months...so i thought he´d be back in August.

I was a member of the MOD when it was active (and would still consider myself a member if things picked up).

After Vipersheart left for the army, several people stepped up to lead the MOD Team. An e-mail was sent out to each member outlining the future of the MOD (all to continue as planned). This is the last I have heard from them and that was 3 days after Viper left and thats getting ov for quite a while now...so who knows...Maybe they're still active behind closed doors, or maybe they're just out of it. Either way, its nice of them to let some of the lower members know what exactly is going on.

naw, the mods pretty much dea i think. unless gal, or whoever is in charge now gets it together, I don't think it'll ever get done. I won't be suprised if there's another update in at the sites's news thing 3 months from now saying that its over.

Are there any serious and qualified mod-makers here who would be willing to move in and possibly take over the mod's existing works to complete production?

This is a relatively easy call to OFP fame and glory if it all works out.

So what was LB's aims last i know they were making a US Special Forces Pack and a French Infantry pack and they were making some tanks for the Isreali Defence Force Mod.

He's the one with the Merkava as well as all the middle east addons(although not finished, they were excellent retexes)

Hello forum members,

My name is Gal NEZEK and I received the keys to the LB mod from

Vipersheart when he went to join the army. Both fortunately and

unfortunately, I was surprised to find out that Vipersheart did most of the

work alone and that the rest of the team was actually working more as

freelancers doing specific projects. Like Jackal pointed out here, I

contacted all the MOD members when I received the list from Vipersheart and

was surprised to find out that only 3 members replied to my email.

The MOD material I received was 40% complete. All graphic material,

units, vehicles (most of them) and most of the weapons were either complete

or in progress. I have reorganized the whole units system by adding units

missing from previous beta versions and I'm finishing the cosmetic work on

models in progress. I was surprised to find out that Vipersheart's (or was

it Raanan's) Merkava was really a poorly made model, and my fellow

teamleader and addonmaker KKB took it upon himself to make the best Merkava

model he can make. Unfortunately that process took longer than expected,

though to personal reasons.

So, what is ready? Most of the infantry units (except some cosmetics I'm

working on, and permissions from fellow addonmakers to use their addons),

all vehicles except the Achzarit (which will not be included in the first

release), the Merkava (which is in the making) and the HMMVV jeep (I

contacted the makers of some fine HMMVV models but still didn't receive any

reply). Also ready are the aircrafts, an Island with scenario based

environment and some missions.

What isn't ready? Except the vehicles and the missions and some parts of

the island we are also missing some config files and some weapons

completion.

Release date? I don't know. I honestly don't. I might release a small

infantry mission demo soon. If I had to guess I'd say early August for the

first campaign.

And after that, what's next? Well, the MOD contains a lot of fine

material, unfortunately I have to join the army on November, so after the

first campaign will be completed I will have to give the material and the

permission to develop more campaigns using the MOD's material to someone

else. Just if you are wondering, the first campaign will be about the

current situation in the West Bank through the eyes of a regular infantry

soldier.

hooray! Gal is still alive and hasn't been kidnapped by terrorists! I wish i hadn't messed my name up when i signed up for this forum. I wanted to have my screen name that i used at the lost brother's mod forum, but i never received a conformation e-mail, so you can call me danelectro_dc the guy formaly known as slurpy_commando.
