Stylez 0 Posted April 12, 2003 So my machine is screwed up, that I can handle. I reformatted 13 times in the past week with various operating systems (don't ask). Anyways, I now have flashpoint running again with my Catalyst 2.5 drivers, and I wanted to reinstall so everything runs perfectly... Unfortunately, I had all 3 of my Opflash CDs (resistance, Opflash, and Red Hammer) all in the Resistance case... Which has gone missing. I think someone stole them at my last LAN party. With this tale of woe comes a question as well: In my Mission editor, I only have the "East" "West" "Civilian" and "Resistance" options. That's right, there is no "Empty". Any ideas on how to solve this?
VMF124 Foxtrot 0 Posted April 12, 2003 Uhh.. The empty option is only available after you have placed a player unit. If thats not the problem, I think your bad luck streak may never recover...
Stylez 0 Posted April 12, 2003 Phew. Problem solved. Thnx Foxtrot. The problem was in all my missions I had just "Playable" characters, none which were actually set to "Player". My discs are still missing though Did I mention my swat 3 disc disappeared last month??? *grumble*
Major Fubar 0 Posted April 12, 2003 Shhh...someone might start asking how you were in the mission editor without a CD...
Stylez 0 Posted April 12, 2003 Automagically Hey, would I lie about such a thing? It's obvious this was just a ploy to get me to go out and buy the GOTY edition.... Funny how it's a computer game that spurs me to make money above all else...
InqWiper 0 Posted April 12, 2003 You can place empty units even though you have no player unit on the map, the problem is that when you have no player unit and try to place a new unit, player is preselected. Since the player cant be an empty object you have to change it to non playable first and then you can change it to empty car or something. Its better to place a player unit first though or you will have to change every unit you are going to place to non playable from player
