Eviscerator: I posted that two screenshots to give The Avon Lady more graphical representation of differences between Andraz's and yours M24. She asked about them nearly a month ago and at that time Andraz gave her a bit coarse description (after all, back then the 3d model was in very early stage). Posting of these screenshots wasn't meant in any way as competition between his and BAS M24 and I'm very sorry if you've felt that way.

Well, I think that comparing one of the best soldier/weapons addon with incoming new M24 is natural. Without some rivalry addons would be so good as they are (hm, maybe some of them). And one more- comparing of both weapons could has some influence on addonmakers and force them to publish new, better versions of their work.

Eviscerator, do you think that all parts of addon would be as good as possible, or do you think that all parts make addon and precision in modeling or configuration of it is not so important when there are many new weapons/soldiers?

Bah. The more competition, the better. Cooperation is the best, but I'd rather have people compete to make better and more realistic addons rather than say, "Oh, someone's already done that. No need to improve upon it in any way." I mean, come on BAS, what's wrong with the BIS Black Op? Isn't the XMS as good as an M4 SOPMOD ACOG? I'm sorry if it sounds a little harsh, as the Rangers are probably my second or third favorite addon ever. And I do understand that you don't have time or capability to polish every single component of a pack as nicely as a single addon, like a gun or a vehicle.

If that is your first addon ever, after just 2 months in the community, jeeeeesus. That is the single most impressive weapon model for OFP I have ever seen That weapon is going right into my addons folder when you release it

I think that the addon should be as good as possible in the time constraints, our M24 is perfectly adequate for our addon, i have seen no complaints and have actually seen many praises for it, making the Delta/Ranger pack took about 4 or so months, the author making this M24 has taken a month, and has not finished, if we went into the same detail with each weapon it would've taken us a couple of years to finish the addon!

Eviscerator, but real perfection is made only with perfect parts.

Rules are simple. When we see one nice addon we not always think about this what could be better. But there is new addon, with improved quality and better reality model config, we must compare.

For example I love HK Pack (The Lost Brothers Mod, are they still with us) although I think MG3 from DKM MoD is better and G11 could be more acurate. This is disadvantage of multiaddons, but still there could be upgraded (like The Lost Brothers Mod showed).

BAS addons are high quality so it is normal that players want to have it as good as possible. And after releasing news about new M24 we see there is possibility to make M24 even better than it is now.

Eviscerator, I know that maker od M24 from BAS took plenty of time into his work, but maybe there is a way to join forces? Players want high quality addons, comparing addons and challenging mod teams still improve standards (for example maybe Airwolfs Mi2 is so good becouse of model of his rivals from Russia ).

Please think about some upgrade BAS addon deserve for it. Thanks to independent modellers for forcing mod teams for intensive work
