Recommended Posts

Hey,

is there a way, to set an object, to be upside down? Or on the side of it? If yes, with which script?

Thx.

You can try creating an uobject under the side of a vehicle then scripting it to move up. I'll try it later when I feel better and think straight crazy.gif

Would it be easier just to create a model that was upside down in the first place?

BTW....have you ever managed to roll a tank? If so..try firing the main gun when it happens.....hehehehehehe biggrin.gif

That would be easier but you can't just place stuff upsidedown in OFP.

And I have rolled tanks before. It is pretty funny biggrin.gif

Even funnier is once in coop we came across a BMP that fired it's cannon. Some bug occured and it looked like it fired 100 rounds at once. That in itself happens often, but this time i flipped the BMP right over biggrin.giftounge.gif

Not possible due to lack of a very needed setPitch function (and setRoll for that matter). There is an indirect way to do it through animations, but that includes model editing and config.cpp scripting. It's also unfortunately limited to one animation per named selection. So you can only do it along one axis - you get setPitch or setRoll, but not both.

I have a small example that I made this morning for another CoC dev of how change of pitch can be accomplished through the use of animations. I reckon it could perhaps be of use to others:

jaccuse.jpg

It's exactly what it looks like: A big hand pointing in the direction of the player, setting the correct pitch and bank angle (through animation and setDir). All source files are included.
