lonesoldier 0 Posted March 4, 2003 Where? Tried Gaygle(google). pffft, found nothing. They are essential. All i need is a sample of that "shhhhhhhhhh" when the artillery is incoming. Anyone?

ACES_KEVIN 0 Posted March 13, 2003 Id suggest puttin your mic up to a speaker while watching some good war movies. Could get alot of cool sounds like this for ofp. Give it a try.
Cephalid 0 Posted March 13, 2003 Let me know when you find something. Could also use some sounds for artillery.
toadeater 0 Posted March 13, 2003 Maybe this thread at OFPEC will help: Artillery Sounds
mr. Duck 0 Posted March 14, 2003 I know that the game "M1A2 abrams tank platoon II" had some really cool artillery sounds. And the best thing is, they come in wav. The bad thing is, I don't have it on my HD anymore so I can't give it to you. I'll try to lend it from a friend and I'll let you know when/if I have em again. Shashman 0 Posted March 14, 2003 Well I have M1TP2 on CD and Gunship! (the latest one) which is basically a highly improved M1TP2...I could check on them if you want but I only have a 56k so it'd be a prob sending em to you if I did find em...

<span id='postcolor'> Do a full install and if I'm correct, you should see the files somewhere in the sound directory or something, anyway, just go through all directories until you see some wav.files . And 56k is no biggie for sound files. They ain't that big I think.
Shashman 0 Posted March 14, 2003 .Wav files are pretty hefty But I'll look anyway
payden 0 Posted March 14, 2003 There are also some sound samples in RED HAMMER 08 Maldeninvasion2 They are nothing special, but already in OGG and maybe already on your hard drive
Shashman 0 Posted March 15, 2003 Oh yeah I remember that mission! Was shi**ing myself driving under that naval bombardment. The sounds were really good and really made you feel like you were under fire and in danger of being blown to smithereens any second. Yeah I strongly recommend using those sfx
walker 0 Posted March 15, 2003 Hi all If you go to the CoC forum and look for the Sainte Marie Hill mission. There is an editable version of the mission in the sounds folder of that mission are two sounds an out-going and an in-comming artillery pair of sound samples. You have my permission to use the two sound samples. Both are already converted to .ogg format. If you use stuff from the CoC remember to put in an acknowledgement to the CoC for use of its files in the readme. The artillery in CE2 v1.22 is more than adequate for most missions try out the artillery in Sainte Marie Hill to see. (Remember in Sainte Marie Hill the enemy has artillery too   ) If your wanting to use artillery there are a lot of files and info on it at the CoC, also several experts to tell you how it all works both in OFP and in real life. Can I reccomend both Dinger's Artillery Suite and snYper's Single and Multiplayer support pack (this includes CoC_mines to produce authentic shrapnel for air bursts) Dingers Artillery Suite you can get at the CoC forum Artillery Suite by Dinger . snYpers SP/MP Support pack you can get at the OFPEC http://www.ofpec.com/editors/spt_pack.php. The intention is to itegrate the two into one program as part of the CoC Command Engine 3 Project. Kind Regards walker
