t_bone_c34 0 Posted March 3, 2003 aight guys,i kinda need a little help on this one. allright,my computer is a HP pavillion 7920 128 SDRAM 900mhz celeron CD-RW and a CD 20 gig hard drive Im looking for a good graphics card. I dont have very much money but i do have some.I need to know which card i should get,what the price is,and what the cards actually do to your computer.Currently my computer will not run any of the new games,i have tried battlefield 1942 and the card is not supported and i also tried C&C Generals,same problem there.So i am looking to get a new graphics card.I just need to know if i got a new card if that would allow me to play the games or if i just need a new computer.Oh yeah,is it possible to install them yourself or should i take it to a shop? Say how much money you have to spend then people can advise you, unless the shop will fit it for free I would suggest fitting it yourself or finding a friend/family member to do it if you're not sure as it will take no more than 5 minutes and personally I begrudge paying someone for something that takes 5 minutes Best prices will most likely be online, ebuyer.com are the site I've found to be the cheapest (they serve Britain and the USA). FallenPaladin 0 Posted March 3, 2003 The best graphics card in relation to it`s price is currently a Geforce 4 Ti 4200. Should be somewhere around 150 Euros, I guess But the best thing would be a complete new PC with new components. If you can afford it right now, of course. Otherwise I`d take the 4200 and maybe another 128MB RAM or more. 128 only decreases the playability of OFP:R a lot. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The game will not run properly if your computer has an ATI or Nvidia video card with an older chipset than the ones listed on the box, or a chipset from a completely different manufacturer. These include the following chipsets: 3dfx chipsets Nvidia TNT2 ATI Radeon Mobility ATI Radeon 7200 S3 ProSavage Kyro and Kyro II chipsets Intel 810e integrated chipsets" Does that mean if i upgrade to a Radeon 7500 i would be fine?
