Noob question about MOD

Hello folks,

 

I bought ARMA 3 yesterday so please pardon my noobish question:

 

Back in 2001, I was a big fan of OFP, so first thing I did after having downloaded ARMA 3 was installing the "COLD WAR REARMED 3" mod.

I downloaded all the files and packs and when I startet ARMA 3, the starting screen had changed (see on the link below).

 

However, I am not able to start the COLD WAR campaign. There is just no option where to select it.

Can anyone of you please help me?

Thats because there isn't one, i believe its wip idk haven't really followed the mod in a month.

In the future before you post, always search for a release thread for whatever your asking about, in this case CWR ||| has its own thread

use that for all questions related to using that mod.

So there are now missions to do in the mod?

Where are the 4,7 GByte for?

 

I saw ppl on YouTube playing the old OFP missions in ARMA 3, so I am a bit confused now.

Assets like uniforms, weapons, vehicles, etc. Missions/campaigns take up almost no space relative to a few decent textures.

You mean no missions, the mod only has all the assets, as Harzach said

the mod is mainly all the maps, uniforms, weapons, vehicles, heli's, planes, ect,.

the missions and campaign froggylov linked.

     So what i meant in my post is, there isn't a campaign built into or that comes with the mod, its separate as is the missions.

and they are all recreations of the actual OFP missions and campaign.

Got the solution.

 

I only downloaded textures and stuff, the campaign was missing.

Now it's all at its place.
