Errors after last ARMA update

While Loading / Initializing Addons:

Addon 'A3_Aegis_Armor_F_Aegis_APC_Wheeled_01' requires addon 'Vehicles_f_lxWS'

Click OK: Game loads -

No entry

'bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/zu23_base_lxWS.scope'.

Click CLOSE - (I'm now in S.O.G. Prairie Fire)

Single Player/Campaigns

No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgPatches.characters_f_lxws'.

 

So what/where is the problem? I have the Aegid mod installed. Do I need to re-install it?

lxWS is the Western Sahara DLC. As is clearly stated on the Aegis Workshop page, you need the DLC, or at least the compatibility patch, which is free.

Since I never bought nor installed the Sahara DLC, why would I be getting errors saying it wasn't installed? Just asking...I went and purchased it. Still getting error messages, though.

And now, ARMA boots up directly into SOG, so there is no way to choose which DLC I want to use.

Because, and again, as is clearly stated on the Aegis Workshop page, the Western Sahara DLC is required.

 

 

You either need to own and load the DLC for Aegis to work, or, as I mentioned and linked to, you can use the free compatibility patch.

 

You are loading into SOG because you have the SOG DLC loaded. You choose which DLC to load in the launcher, not in-game, so not sure what you mean about not being able to choose.

I DID  purchase the Western Sahara DLC, and I AM subscribed to Arma 3 Aegis.So why am I still getting the errors?

I will load the Sahara DLC when I want to play it. But when I am loading the SOG DLC, I am getting errors that I don't have the Sahara data. Why would Aegis say I don't have this:

BECAUSE AEGIS REQUIRES YOU TO LOAD WESTERN SAHARA.

That should be an option for AEGIS, not a mandatory (loaded or not) DLC. I say that... I don't play AEGIS.

I think maybe Aegis originally depended on a mod/mods by Lexx, but that stuff was rolled into WS, so that's where the dependency is now.

 

And again for the third time now, the DLC is not mandatory - one can use the FREE compatibility patch I linked in my first reply instead.

No.

Load it when you want to play AEGIS, else you'll get the error. Other than writing it in crayon I don't think @Harzach could have explained it any clearer for you...
