Cloney 0 Posted February 2, 2003 We could make an OFP movie, sorta like Gomer Pyle USMC... instead it would be called .... Pins Da Smokah US Army Engineer Corps! Pins is going into the army as a combat engineer incase you didn't know.
Major Fubar 0 Posted February 2, 2003 There are engineers in the game, with mines. You could give them satchel charges instead if you like.

pzvg 0 Posted February 2, 2003 Hmm, now all we need is some Earthmoving stuff, like an M9 or a CEV,and some M938 dumptrucks Oh and an ALVB. @pins, let us know when ya get your castle,I always look for an excuse to drink
miles teg 1 Posted February 2, 2003 Hehehe.... good luck in the Army PiNs da Smoka. Stay motivated, stay positive, and don't blow yourself up...oh and keep in mind that you won't be allowed to smoke during Basic Training or AIT. I went through some basic combat engineering training at Ft. Leanordwood (Fort Lost-in-the-Woods) so I can symphathize with you. But just have fun, don't attract negative attention from the Drill Sgt's., be safe, and keep a Gung-Ho attitude (the Drill Sgt's like that). Essayons! SGTKOPP 0 Posted February 2, 2003 i was thinking that if you encounter a mine field you could send your engineers to the mines and blow them this should be able to be done with a script? also i have been lucky enound to be an engineer so i want this to work
blackdog~ 0 Posted February 2, 2003 In resistance engineers can remove/deactivate some mines. I think it is only if you are engineer.
PiNs_Da_Smoka 0 Posted February 2, 2003 LOL Miles Teg. Guess where i'm going for basic and AIT? You guessed it, Fort Leornard Wood. (sorry for getting off the topic.)

(sorry for getting off the topic.)<span id='postcolor'> (apologies for going a little off-topic) Hehehe yeah... that's the central post for engineer training in the Army so I figured you'd be going there. Oh...other words of advice... on the explosives range when you're using det cord and timed fuzes, don't get them mixed up...cuz that's bad for your health (and those in the vicinity). Also save your money and don't blow it on tatoos (buy lots of beer instead), stay away from the "daisy's", and as my Drill Sgt. used to say, "When going out into the bush put your kevlar on your little soldier when inserting into female territory." The weather sucks there, but it's a good post for brutal, hardcore training (assuming it hasn't gotten wimpier since '93). After the first two weeks you'll get into the routine, but be prepared to have an experience like nothing else. Oh... and uh... when you run "Space Mountain" and "The Roller-Coaster" (probably not until you get to AIT), just remember the recruiter who suckered ya into signing up! LOL! I just hope you know that you signed up for what's possibly one of the most dangerous jobs in the Army (short of Special Operations MOS's). Good luck! You'll need it. SGTKOPP 0 Posted February 2, 2003 3.3 secs is the expected life span of a engineer on a minefield breach training for it sucks your hot muddy and miserable A CEV would be a great addon it has a blade and a 165mm morter on the shoots high explosive plasctic encased rounds it put a big hole in the ground. Also in training they wont let you screw up trust me i made it out of there alive and went to daisy's
