JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted January 29, 2003 I was playing another FPS the other day and then played OpFlash. I realised that the normal view is slightly zoomed and you have a narrow FOV in comparison. If you press the KP minus key it zooms out to what I call a normal level. Maybe there should be an option in the Difficulty settings that changes between normal and enhanced soldier vision.
Guest BratZ Posted January 29, 2003 OFP's version is better,I like the way it is,the fov is defined in the individual addons, which is not good if you want the same fov all the time, but at least OFP has a range unlike alot of other games only have the initial fov
pong2cs 0 Posted January 29, 2003 I also like view zoomed out in OFP, especially when flying aircraft or driving vehicles, it gives you a more realistic look.
HellToupee 0 Posted January 30, 2003 useally sum draw backs, with a wider view u cant see as far clearly but can see more, with narrow fov in games u can see further but not as much, games that do have user defined fov can be exploited.
JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted January 30, 2003 I prefer the wider FOV as I feel more secure in Close Quarters and it seems more realistic. Unfortunatley i can not just tape down the key as it does not allow me to move forward and strafe left at the same time, it just makes a wierd bleeping noise. Also only make it an option in Cadet mode, not Veteran.
kegetys 2 Posted January 30, 2003 You can edit the default fov values from your users/username/UserInfo.cfg (fovTop and fovLeft)
