Which ARMA 3 version

Hello everyone , I generally dont play games except original ghost recon weekly twice due to its originality . I have a silly doubt can we switch soldiers in ARMA3?Now I wanna buy ARMA 3 for its hardcore realism . Which version Should I buy in the steam? Sorry my english not so good

Get the basic Game first.

 

Then you can try out the DLC in an online game where others players have it. They can demo the gear to you. That was how I started with ARMA 2 and 3.

 

I got the APEX addon because many of my ARMA friends play on Tanoa Island map. In fact, they own everything but I don't see them using the DLC gear as much compared to Tanoa from APEX.

 

Great Stealth and NVG gear for both sides.

 

A few have gotten Contact but all the reviews for the price vs content was not good.

 

So best to wait for a sale and get ARMA 3 and MAYBE Tanoa.

 

The rest of the gear are specialists - Jets, Tanks, Sniper Rifles, etc... so will depend on your play style.

 

I think Laws of War is worth getting. The SP story is good and the gear is used by everyone. Also one the best priced DLC when on sale.

 

The next sale is rumored to be coming up this week right before Halloween, but there will be  Winter sales in Nov or Dec as well.

Arma 3 Apex Edition

Includes 5 items: Arma 3, Arma 3 Karts, Arma 3 Helicopters, Arma 3 Marksmen, Arma 3 Apex

it gives you a -15% discount

 

Arma 3 Contact Edition

Includes 2 items: Arma 3, Arma 3 Contact

it gives you a -10% discount

 

imo i would go with the Apex.
