He sits down, the camera keeps looking at the innocent man. When suddenly you see the expression on his face change from looking a bit worried to scared as hell. Really disgusting stuff like that. Or people getting throwed of bridges, just for fun. There's some sick stuff happening out there, i bet every army does it... FSPilot 0 Posted February 2, 2003 With the anti-US sentiment on this board I'm not surprised at all that this thread has turned into more America bashing.
Cloney 0 Posted February 2, 2003 I agree FS, while I don't think all Euros are anti-US, I think a few of them are anti-American and just won't admit it. The posts made by this small minority are the most frustrating to read.

They don't get orders to do this, they just do it. Or maybe these soldiers just enjoy the power that they have, kinda like teh bully in school... Oh and for all of you that think i was bashing the US, i get reactions like that rather fast. Just look at my post very carefully, i said allied soldiers not US soldiers. Anyway, just thought i'd make that clear...
Cloney 0 Posted February 2, 2003 I disagree Darklight, I don't think being a soldiers is akin to being on a bully like power-trip. All soldiers should understand their responsibilities and if they don't they clearly shouldn't be soldiers. Especially combat infantrymen who are exposed to a massive amount of stress day after day. Jinef 2 Posted February 4, 2003 I have met a lot of Americans and they are very nice people and generous when you meet them individually - the amount of biros and notepads i have been given brings a tear to my eye! But when it comes to America abroad they treat everyone like shit and their foreign policies stink of self righteous bollocks. America as a country has been around for a few hundred years and has made more enemies than Britain (in it's tyranical slavery and domination of 1/3 of the world for 300 years) ever has. And now lot's of my friends on the continent are starting to look down on Britain as a little country who just sucks up to America and has no credibility even though 70% of the cabinet are opposed to following America's steps as are 80% of the public. But of course we are in a mini America - democracy is a load of bloody sentiment and our pal tony will follow the fucked up alcoholic to the end of the world which can't be far off with people like Rumsfield leading one of the most destructive forces on earth! My point is this - Americans are nice people but like the British the leaders decide to fuck over everyone else as a matter of routine - it's going to lead to something bad happening (like me getting sent to some country to die for America's economy which i could quite happily do without as most of my personal items are made in either Germany or Japan) It's not as simple as just reverting to the foreign policy of before WW1 - because that would lose money and MY GOD America can't have that as they need it to build giant 'lasers' so they can prove they have the biggest gun of all (sorry for the attempt at phallic humour - it's late) I'm actually half American and have lot's of relatives in New York so i'm not a european elitist who hates America because he feels his country among others has created a monster threatening to destroy his country's identity, status and culture, i'm just seeing America from the outside perspective which does not portray it as valhalla as lot's of people (Americans mainly) do view it. Don't you think that if the entire of Europe is disagreeing and saying that America is wrong in things it does then there might be something actually amiss or is it just a bunch of people just begging to be able to say something about someone because they feel inadequate as FSPilot loves to point out? Again i have gone off rambling down the long and controversial path of America and how it's viewed by people. But remember, generally, normal people will not absolutely detest something unless that something has done things that are going to affect the mentioned normal people. Now i've already ruled out the nutters like Hitler and stuff so don't leap to contradict without reading my very vague proposition.

I also like how you refered to Bush as an alcoholic. I chuckled but decided writing you off as ignorant would be more appropriate.
