target_practice 163 Posted March 31, 2020 It is my understanding that it is possible to set up file patching such that the game can read unpacked data from the P: drive in accordance with a corresponding addon and $PBOPREFIX$ within the game directory. All official documentation on this matter is however quite unclear, and seemingly out of date in some regards. Furthermore, searching for information from other sources hasn't turned up anything either. So what gives? Am I misunderstanding this thing, or does no one actually seem to know for some reason. Dedmen 2719 Posted April 1, 2020 with filepatching enabled. it tries to load all the files that you have in pbo, from Arma directory first. Have pbo with prefix x\stuff and init.sqf Arma first checks if you have SteamApps/common/Arma 3/x/stuff/init.sqf if not, then it loads from pbo. Quite sure that has been explained countless times already. Atleast I did explained it a over dozen times.

You guys should make essential page for all arma beginner scripters/modders where this info would be available. I have personally learned a lot by just reading/posting in these forums when the info could have been more easily found in some beginner wiki page at day one Edited April 1, 2020 by gc8 add
Dedmen 2719 Posted April 1, 2020 https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/CMA:DevelopmentSetup#Process That is kinda it, but not 100% clear and a bit dated (but mostly still valid, not much changed in that area) Its linked on the filePatching parameter on the parameters page.
