Chris Ogden 0 Posted March 29, 2020 Hi all, I have an i7 4790k o/c to 4.5, Asus Maximus Hero VII motherboard, 32 Gb 2400 ram, an ssd for Arma 3 and an Evga 2080 super ftw3. Question is I will be upgrading to a better cpu, what would you recommend, I was thinking 9700k with a mobo and ram upgrade, any ideas? Will this give a worthy benefit in game? Thanks for any feedback. Chris

Janez 530 Posted April 3, 2020 Yeah, pretty much what pvt. partz said. If at all possible for given situation, one should look into having less AI in the scene at once. Smarter/more compromising mission design and view distances.

Gunter Severloh 4051 Posted April 4, 2020 Why has no one pointed out to the new guy that there is a dedicated thread to such topics which is also pinned: Where one can ask all and any questions computer related to the game on what parts, Cpu, gpu ect,. to get as well as to what settings are ideal does that make more sense then posting a new thread and repeating the same stuff over and over again spamming the forums with clutter when all the answers and experts imo i might add are on that pinned thread. No offense OP, number one rule imo on this forum for any question you have be it a problem or lack of understanding is Searching before you post. Why such a rule is not enforced anymore or made more aware to new and general members alike when they either fail to follow it or its made exceptional when there is no such post to ask in seriously its ok to dig up an old thread discussing a subject you have questions about or something to add to it, as long as its relevant to the current or at least close to current state of the game, mods or what have you. The search before you post rule was enforced quite a bit when i started out over the years wtf happened!? You guys like scrounging and rummaging through forum sections seeing the same shit posted constantly when there are dedicated threads for such a subject? Keep the forums clean and organized, posts eventually gets lost in the forum as time progress, the pinned threads dont, thats why they are there, its called organization. Sorry to be anal about the subject but i hate f**king clutter, beating a dead horse when theres a place already established for the same subject, no pun intended to the previous posters, just saying do your part and link the pinned thread if there is one for a given subject, even compilation lists.
