Played with the demo a little bit, not that different from the first really. The thing is is that there is something 'off' with the onscreen weapons. It just doesn't feel right to me for some reason.

Instead of wasting money on new games, why not just play some more ofp or download an amiga emulator smile.gif that thing rocks.

Im not sure wether its legal or not so i wont post a link, but since i have an amiga and most of the games i dont care, i cant play it course my friggin mouse broke, anyone knows where you can get old amiga hardware?

Good times, good times smile.gif

Just played the IGI2-MP demo -on my computer the frame rate drops in close combat situation below 5fps. Therefore I sniper around with an AUG.

(it's very relaxing, lying around, following bad guys with the scope... biggrin.gif)

What I like most is that thin walls are not bulletproof (feature since IGI 1). The enemy ran into a light building? No problem, simply throw dozens of bullets on the house (e.g. with a M60)...

Hey, this is a feature I would like to see in OFP2!

It's already in OFP, you can configure it in oxygen.

IMO if only IGI2 would have coop I would have been alot more interested in it confused.gif

How come so few games feature real coop these days ?

OFP is still the king when it comes to quality (coop) multiplaying IMHO smile.gif

Many game-devs cry about converting a SP mission to coop is so timeconsuming and difficult etc.

Bullshit, I say (or all games except OFP adopt the coop-element in a very strange way). Not much you have to do to convert a OFP-sp to a coop-mission...

I found the whole single player IGI2 experience to be somewhat lacking. Considering it was 90% done it seemed rather 'un-polished'. I dunno, there was just 'something' about it. Nothing new, been done before and better than this.

I believe the remaining 10% is always the polishing wink.gif

I also heard Innerloop is working hard at tweaking the AI aswell

They had better work damned hard is all I can say! tounge.gif It was a lot like IGI 1, but when IGI 1 came out it had features that were new, big environments were an unusual feature, etc. etc. Maybe I've just been spoiled by Flashpoint, everything else just pales in comparison. biggrin.gif

Is it me or is there no savegame for the SP demo?

I've gotten as far as the third building, after you ride across the river. I can't seem to find the mine and I always die storming into that room.

The save-feature is something I really like.

Look at the map-computer and you will see "IGI HQ".

Click on it.

Then you'll see "upload mission to IGI HQ" and eventually "Download mission from IGI HQ".

When you upload (save) it will drain the battery of the computer (limited saves). The cool thing is that you should make sure you are safe before starting to save because the mission continues during the save-process smile.gif

I enjoyed the first IGI and I liked the demo of IGI2 but I'm hardly waiting eagerly. Mayby in six months when its on sale.

The one thing I'd say the game still scores on is that moving from massive open spaces into buildings feels so natural. Much as I love OFP moving into buildings has always felt very clumsy. Ah well, can't have everything.

So long as there is no re-spawning enemy AI, I will be happy with it. IGI 1 was 'arcadish' and scripted, but it was a fun game to play. I also see that they have made use of an in-game save feature, which I'm happy to see.

The next FPS game that I'm really looking forward to is Hidden & Dangerous 2. The same people that made Mafia are developing the game. And if you have seen the graphics in Mafia or played the original H&D, you should be excited about H&D2.(what is it with Czech developers anyways? tounge.gif )
