Hi,

Just to inform that I am building a Helldiver.I have it in game and still completing it,but this will be a nice one.

I got lots of materials on this including Navy blueprints and I am not messing around

Please excuse the temp textures,this will be sweet when its done

Yes to more WW2 warplanes, something I can help the WW2 mods and give some back to the OFP community

The Helldiver is a nice plane and I am not sure what I am going to do next,I should do a Japanese plane next,I have some info on the Aichai D3A1,and I have an interest in multi seat multi role bombers so I expect to do a few from each country,but who knows,its going to be hard to top this Helldiver

Any ideas or brainstorming is welcome

For Japanese i would like to suggest the Yokosuka D4Y "Suisei" (JUDY), a two seater divebomber.

I would go with the European theater aircrafts, Allied and Axis planes would be great, would really boost up the WWII mods! I don't know about the Japanese planes (although they have good planes) there aren't many, if any Japanese mods that would make this plane useful.

Hmm there is something i don't like is when people think that WWII was only happening in ETO. THERE WERE real people fighting in the Pacific and they were dying and combat there was no less spectacular and lasted far more than in Europe. And yes, there are MODs being made on the Pacific Theater.....we are working on one ....check sig for web address.

BTW BratZ great plane, hope to see some ingame screens soon.

Yes Sould Assassin...I would like to join your mod.The Engineers Corps WW2 looks nice but they are mostly doing Germans and the ground war part.Iwo Jima is perfect and fits my planes,except that I need to do a few German planes too.

Actually the EC WW2 has a few German planes that Vit modeled they just need to be tweaked for ingame,maybe I can fix those after

If our mission makers feel like making a pacific campaign they do it.. if they dont have the right units we will make em..

We are a mission makers team with a mod team for extra units.. our mission team uses all available units they don't care from which team...

As for the ground part..

Yes there were problems with VIT's addons being basically ripped off from other people. In one instance the addon was released with even the same textures.

You are very welcome in our team but you can work for multiple teams...as long as you are not overloaded y not help another team?...

Anyway, InternalEditing | WW2EC and Invasion 1944 are trying to plan something on the WW2 front but we'll keep ya informed later

This is just a status shot,I am currently working on the animations,gear etc...

I get that stuff done,I will finish up the modeleing and texturing

Get someone with BF1942 to take screenshots of the units to texture your plane... they have really good textures in BF1942

I have BF1942...no Helldiver in it tho.

I do have few pics and I plan on a few schemes

US Army version- Green with non folding wings

Not sure on exact payload ,but I was thinking 1 1000lb bomb

and 4 250lbs

US Navy Version- Blue like the pic (I have other Blue pics too,dunno yet)

This version should have Maybe 1 torpedo (or whatever) and maybe 2 500 lb bombs

Arcade Version- Auto wings,auto gear and maybe like 20 bombs

And radar (I dont want any radar on the authentic ones)

But I have the animated Gear and wings done and its kewl,I'm having a blast,anyone needs help just ask

I seriously want a rear tailgunner (has to have!!!!!

And I hope someone has a carrier ready soon!!

I been testing takeoff length and its gonna be close,prolly will need the catapult effect

Just an update, no pics.I have cockpit done (highly detailed)

Folding Wings,Bomb Bay Doors,Front and Rear animated canopy.Proper folding Landing Gear and I am in process of finishing up textures and tweaking

Trying to make the plane as authentic as possible

Unfortunately the tailgunner is an uncompleted project and the Helldiver will be released as beta and will stay beta till I can get a tailgunner

And I will concentrate on just fighters now (Hurricane,F4u etc...)

Just to inform you that my Helldiver is near release,don't give up hope and some fighters are on their way

Sorry for that one AiA, we got it sorted out. I got a bit suspicios of ur 'high res' models and then i found a site where they were pulled of, after that i talked to klest and he told me that the guy who owns that site (all those models were made by him) is working for u guys. so I rest my case im sorry for any inconveniance.

Just a pic update (looks better in game)

Still few textures to go on tail and bottom and such but wearing the new textures I just learned to make

Coming along well,has bomb bay doors that need to be open to use the internal bombs and some other goodies mentioned before

Almost ready for beta, I was hoping someone along the lines of,The Avon Lady or Miles Teg could make me a mission with it.

Because of the 1000 lb bombs you should be flying fast to get out fast enough on a low drop and such,hopefully a mission just showing some of the features and maybe how-to-bomb?
