Irag addons?

Hey guys this is Brag from the Dragon Knights. It may be a similiar post like this but sorry if im starting a new one, because i searched and didnt come up with anything.

So anyone have a link to any iraq addons(soldiers,vehicles,etc)? What are Saddam's special troops called that are dressed in all black,well i don't know thier names, but you'll may know, any links to those troops would be nice also!Thx for any helpful post.

BTW, i checked ofp.info,opflashpoint.org, etc came up empty handied.

I believe the Desert OFP/Lavos project was making some Iraqi addons...but they changed their site and you can't get the desert addons anymore. However, I think they still are in the ofp.info addons section...check all of it.

OFGWC it looks a DEAD Mod m8 nothing new a few new models in the demo that's it and they said a long time ago that there will be small pack's for 56k users the MLRS nothing heard of it the the Challenger MBT this week I don't believe it

That special troops of Iraq are called the Republican Guard

The Republican Guard evolved out of a small unit tasked to protect the president and the capital. During the latter years of the Iran-Iraq War, the Guard had grown to eight divisions as well as numerous independent brigades, adding perhaps another four division equivalents, or 150,000 men. The expansion of the force diluted its status as the praetorian guard of the regime. However, by 1990, the Republican Guards had become the best equipped and paid units. They were used as heavy formations, and Guard tank battalions had nine more tanks than regular army formations. They tended to get the modern equipment such as T-72s, BMP armoured fighting vehicles, French GCT self-propelled howitzers and Austrian GHN-45 towed howitzers.

In the last four years, the regime has concentrated its energies on reconstituting the Guard formations but to date only eight divisions have been reconstituted. There are three armoured divisions (al-Nida, al-Hammurabi and al-Medina), one mechanised division (al-Abid) and four infantry divisions (al-Adnan, al-Nebuchadnezzar, al-Baghdad and one other). These units are, however, undermanned and poorly equipped. According to the standard Iraqi organisation, the total manpower of these eight divisions should be 11,240; in fact, they probably have a maximum of 8,000 soldiers. Likewise, tank holdings should be 1,320 against a likely actual figure of no more than 800; armoured vehicle holdings should be 2,260 against a probable actual figure of up to 1,100; and they should have 642 artillery pieces compared to the 500 they do have.

Ummm, it's not a dead mod. I'm their WRPEditor, so I know what I'm talking about. The reason why the small version of the Beta Mod and the Challenger haven't been released yet is that there was a little thing called Xmas, and some of us are busy at this time of year...family, friends etc....you know....the people you see when you're not playing OFP

umm...that's not strictly middle eastern of any country. The guy in the pic they had made was probably referenced from the Persian Guards, or probably looking like Afghani militants.

Well I sort of forgot about this thread. And Black dog when i said mother i was referring to motherak14. And if i knew i was gonna get any smartass comments i would never have posted.  And scorpio I hope when u said new guy u meant new guy to the forum:).  Thanks for being helpful everyone.

BTW, Blackdog dont know whats ur problem man, but i came on here to get some helpful info from ppl on the forum.  Not to hear anythign besides iraq addons.
