deadsoldier 0 Posted January 8, 2003 We already made a missle warning. And we ton place a map, cause the mig had one screen for the IRST. So we wont need to worry about it. cheers
Wonder 0 Posted January 9, 2003 This might be off-topic, but could it be possible to put a vertical speed indicator on an artificial horizon? This way we'd have a velocity vector, you know the little -ó- symbol on the HUD, which shows where the plane is going... could make landings a helluva lot easier if it could be done. I also had some thoughts about bitchin' betty yelling "Pull up! Pull up!" when altitude<x and speed>y. Somebody also mentioned about a missile lock/gun aligned sound in another thread. In OFP you cant turn it off...we thought of that alread, plus we dont realy need it. In OFP, ppl fly planes low most of the time, so thi way she would be bitching most of the time your flying. cheers

Just when for example the criteria of say speed>400kts and alt<30m. You don't go zooming over 400kts below 30 feet the WHOLE time do you? If there's a way to use the rate of descent as a variable, then that would be even better. Back to the topic: if you're going to add a HUD on russian aircrafts, you'd have to find a way to reverse the pich&roll axes, because instead of "climb ladders" they use a plane symbol that rolls/piches the way the plane itself is piching/rolling. Anybody who has played Flanker 2 knows what i'm talking about. Oh! and please change the cockpit... don't wanna see a western style cockpit in a mig-29! peanuckle_00 0 Posted January 10, 2003 Could you make an Iraqi skin for the Mig29 too?
deadsoldier 0 Posted January 10, 2003 Wonder, who said anything about us using a west cockpit? we did make our own mig-29 cockpit, and it looks as good as this in the picture. Those who have seen it would say so. I have played flanker 2, and we do know abuot the HUD, we've done our research. Peanucle, we wont make an iraqi paint, cause we already have to make, german, russian and czech, so we have enough work load. cheers

Believe me, I've been talking to deadsoldier  about the MiG-29 over ICQ and seen some of the work in progress. And knowing as much as I do about Russian aircraft, I have to say I'm amazed at the attention to detail i've seen. I wish people would wait to see a finished product before assuming points to critisize. <span style='color:red'>*edit*</span>lol beat me to it
