I play Bf 1942 pretty often. When i get bored of Ofp i Play BF and when i get bored fo BF i play Ofp Lack of realism dosnt have to be a bad thing.

Its the lack of authenticy that gets me. Its not realistic, its not authentic, and I didnt like the gameplay.

Unless Road to Rome makes major changes the the game (which it dosnt look like from watching the movie clip) I think I will stay away from B1942.

Everything about BF1942 just feels wrong, the way your guy moves, the guns, the sounds, the vehicles and most of the people playing it.

For mindless MP action i play DOD or Vietcon.

I hated BF1942, it's only good for MP deathmatches. Whoever made this game put 50% effort in and is getting 150% reward. There is no way I'm buying an addon for that game.

They don't even have the M1 garand in there. COME ON!!!

You think DOD is mindless? DOD has more realistic fighting than in OFP, the weapons and all are very realistic, IMO. If it had vehicles than it would be amazing. Vietcong is fun now and then, but the demo only has a single map and I am bored of it. BF1942 sucks, it's VERY stupid. I like games that are a tad realistic and have a few unrealistic points, because if you made the MOST realistic game possible, it would probably be kind of crappy. (This is referring to war games)

IMHO.  

lol, in BF the Allies and Axis only have 1 pair of weapons each, meaning the russians use BAR's, NO4's, and thompsons. At least MOH: SPearhead added new weapons for the new countries they have, and were not that lazy to make the British use Thompsons.

... Just To mention A few of them, and i belive chanses are good that most of them will come out since Bf has a bigger audience(one of them has just been relised as a beta)

And DICE clearly said that they didnt make all weapons becouse the lack of time = Ea was spanking them. I dont think they will put in all weapons this time neither but thats why i have my hope to the mods.

Don't even bother with BF1942 SP. It's exactly the same as MP, but with bots instead of real people.

This REALLY pisses me off. There's no plot to the campaign. Not even a character. It's just MP with bots. I didn't pay $50 for an unrealistic piece of feces with bad gameplay.

I only bought BF1942 to play with a squad. But I quit that squad shortly after... bad story. -_-

I didn't get my moneys worth out of BF1942.

I even did a psychology report on why people would run their jeeps into your plane when you were trying to takeoff in BF1942.
