Vtol + horizontal flight

Hi, im working on a project, i am not releasing details of it cus im parinoid... but its not an osprey.

I need help allowing vertical take off and flight, and horizontal take off and flight.... Landing both too smile.gif

I could do it by a menu button, but i need info on how to do everything right now, but if any1 could show me a script or help me with the project i would be greatful. (im a cpp n00b)

Ask Col Klink he knows hot to make it he makes a Harrier addon too for Falklands Mod he help you maybe xmas.gif

I know this is kinda off topic, but what ever happend to the osprey project. I was looking forward to that and all of the sudden its gone. I forgot who was making it. It looked real nice!

Hello. I making a V-22 Osprey but i can't relase it. Because Multiple Animations is unavailble in OFP. I can't animate engines with rotors sad.gif .

And have you got it to work to take off like a chopper and fly like a plane xmas.gif

But then whats the point of having an Ofspray that doesn't act like one? Please do not release unless it is properly done.

Right. I can't relase it because OFP engine have some limitation for multiple animations. And i waiting for some new VTOL script.

could it be possible by making 2 seperate classes using the same model? For example one helicopter using a harrier model and one plane with the same model. You'd take off like a normal helicopter, pick up some speed, and selecting "Nozzles up" from the command menu would execute a script somewhat like this: camdestroy harrierheli; camcreate harrierplane; player moveindriver harrierplane. You'd also need to use setpos/setspeed aswell. I don't have any experience in making scripts, but could it be done?

Wonder: Yes and no,you can moveindriver etc... but if it were a plane for instance that were in flight...the new planes engine would be just starting,sorta not realistic,and there might be a split blink ,and you need to set the fuel,ammo etc of the new plane also

I also have a problem on a WW2 carrier warplane with folding wings and the flaps not working on the animated section

I was intending on using a hidden selection for the animated part,hiding the functioning wing

I'm sitting here brainstorming on how there might be a way.

You could maybe....

Make multiple engines,at different angles (how many rotors can u have?) and hide/unhide on its way repositioning.

For that matter...no animation is necessary so far

You can also maybe ,make 2 permanent rotors in the 2 most positions (forward and up) and hide unhide them,and use a fake hidden selection also for the animation between

So maybe there is some hope....Just trying to help

I think there is some kind of a engineOn=true line existing, maybe it could be used?
