Granted, they're semi-automatic, but they're limited to two shots per reload.<span id='postcolor'>

I have a feeling that they would be illegal, but I'm not too sure.

Maybe they would let you if you a farmer, but they are pretty nit-picky so maybe not.

I thought shotguns was under the rifle-category when it come to laws about gun-control confused.gif

I have'nt studied the laws here in Norway about rifles and shotguns that well, but I have a gut-feeling they are under the same laws.

After a bit of searching (had to go to google, the Australian government website had nothing about the gun laws.....) I have found this-to the average person a double barreled shot gun is not allowed as it come sunder the catogory of a self loading weapon, but people such as farmes are allowed to use them.

FNC

Madmedic, what was your opinion about this gun?  Do you like it or do you think it totally sucks?!

I'd just like to know smile.gif<span id='postcolor'>

Actually, that is an FN FNC, it is made by FN...but it is not an FAL ...( In the movie HEAT ...Al Pachino is using an FNC in the big shootout scene after the bank robbery)

FN stands for "Fabrique Nationale", (the name of the gun manufacturer)....FAL is a particular MODEL of rifle. It stands for "Fusil Automatique Leger"

The FAL is a 7.62 NATO weapon (although there are FALs chambered in other calibres, like 8mm)

More than 90 countries around the world including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, India, Israel, Libya, Peru, Singapore and the UK, have all issued FAL rifles to their soldiers at one time or another.

The FNC is a 5.56 weapon (like the M16)...I have only ever fired one FNC, it was a full auto rifle owned by someone from the gun range...The one I fired ran very well (although I have heard both good, and bad things about the FNC)....I would be hesitant to make a solid statement as to their quality being good, or bad. (the one I fired was very nice)

An FNC IS in my future shopping list,...but there are other rifles In front of it in line.

ADDED NOTE .....Fabrique Nationale has a factory in the United States, and they are the current military contractor building M16s for the U.S. military.

I have a Remington 700 chambered in 7.62, and an "SPR" upper that I can swap onto my AR15s

Both guns look almost exactly the same to me, i'm no gun expert, so i couldn't tell the difference smile.gif

I know the FN factory very well, it's located rather close to where i live (i believe it's located in Herstal).

Yes, they look similar in pictures...(they are similarly shaped / designed)

But in person, there is a big difference

The FAL is a bigger, heavier rifle...that fires 7.62x51 rounds from a 20 round box magazine

The FNC is smaller, and fires 5.56 rounds....and uses M16 magazines.

Damnit, you've just made me very paranoic.
