brgnorway 0 Posted November 23, 2002 Hammerli knows how to make good guns though. The SP20 is the best target pistol I have ever used. http://www.haemmerli.ch/pages/en_ch/produkt_sp20.asp#

I'm afraid my english is far from good enough when it comes to technical terms but I'll try anyway: Most of the pistols parts are made from light alloy metals such as aluminum - the barrel and essential mechanical parts are not of course. If you enjoy target shooting you really shoud try it out. It's expensive - but definately worth every penny. I paid apr. 13 000,- in norwegian currency wich is close to 1800 USD. red oct 2 Posted November 23, 2002 i've taken more of a liking to the Sig Sauger .45. comes apart in 6 easy pieces that can easily come apart and and reassemble. i don't really have good accuacy w/ pistols though. only that bothers me about it is that it doesn't have a saftey lock on it. would have figured if the geniuses that designed this weapon would have included the very basic form of fire arm saftey for it. Sig Sauer are top shelf. You have a good (and expensive) taste I never use the safety on guns when I'm at the shooting range. We were taught not to hassle with it at all. Safety locks tend to make some (not you of course ) people treat the gun as safe when normal people always treat the gun as loaded and potentially leathel. I don't know what laws you have over there - but if you are able to borrow a Hammerli at the shop - please do! It realy is an amazing gun.
red oct 2 Posted November 23, 2002 well acually it doesn't belong to me, its acually my dads (i don't meet the age requirment for owning a hand gun). and it really wasn't that expensive either. it was about $600 when you could get a AR-15 Bushmaster for about $800. I know some european gunmanufacturers do make guns in your country.......could explain why it was (relatively) cheap? Frisbee 0 Posted November 23, 2002 Feinwerkbau has a lot of these competion grade pistols with swappable barrels and so.The grip alone usually costs as much as the average normal pistol.
