You were given Norway in 1814 from Denmark as a compensation for the napoleonic wars.

A funny note on 1905 is that my grandfather told me about my great grandfather who was mobilized in the most tense period. He was stationed as an artillery-officer in Bragernesĺsen in Drammen. I actually walked on the foundations of the cannons.
