I have no problems with that version... works fine.

Why do you ask? Do you have a problem? I think TROUBLESHOOTING may not be the right forum to post questions if you don't have any trouble!?

Yeah When I installed them I got the Green screen. Then I took all my addons out and they worked fine. I was only able to have about 300 mb of addons before I got the green screen. with the old drivers I can have about 800 mb of addons. wierd!

Maybe you should post your system specs, mainly your graphic card.

Your Problem seems to be the same as in this post

But there was no solution for this.

I just install this driver last night. I noticed some improvement in fps speed. No problems at all.

They had this message there:

NOTE: If you experienced difficulty with this driver between November 8th and 11th, please download again. We have corrected the issue and updated the file.

I think the problems referred to on NVIDIA's site had to do with the .INF file for 95/98/ME, which prevented the new driver from installing.

There were no changes to the drivers themselves.

I take back what I said---sometimes problems. After I installed the new driver, windows would not load 50% of the time. It would just hang. I had to re-boot, and run in safe mode.

I did a line by line confirmation, and there were no problems, and windows loaded fine.

I defragmented my system, and I have not had that problem since.

I had some quite bad experiances with all 40.xx drivers on my GF4Ti4200 (resulting in game crashes and even blue screens). So I tried the 41.03 detonator available for XP and Win2000. These proved very stable, not causing any problems but one:

When alt tabbing 1-2 times I get texture arrors, the game gets sluggish and shortly afterwards it crashes back to the desktop. The only way to get around that bug was to use different screen resolutions for the desktop and the game (getting rid of the double mouse cursor at the same time). Now it works flawless and the driver's a good deal faster than the older 3x.xx versions.

I have removed the 40.72 driver off my machine, and will install 30.82 which worked fine.

Windows is unstable under 40.72; windows will not load and hangs
