easyeb 137 Posted September 25, 2016 So I have this weird auto brightness function that is a bit annoying. What it does is when I look at something light, like the sky, it turns the brightness down. And when I look at something dark, like rocks in shadows, it turns the brightness up. What is frustrating though is that when I use weapon sights, most of the screen will be dark since the sights/optics often are black and it turns the brightness up – making it so that what I'm aiming at is too bright/washed out. What I'm wondering is if this is an Arma feature, and if so, can it be turned off? I've tried adjusting everything in the video settings to no avail. Cheers! ceeeb 147 Posted October 18, 2016 The effect you describe is HDR. It's a core part of the way the game renders scenes and cannot be disabled. Try changing the HDR setting in video options to see if that reduces the effect. If you are using mods, try the game without any mods loaded (poorly configured mods may potentially increase the effect).
