How to change wound texture path?

By using Hex editor I changed the regular texture path in .p3d file but I couldn't find wound textures. Itried changing the path in config "class Man : Land" section. However, that didn't work. What should I do?

You do it in config of your unit.

class mycoolunit: SoldierGB
{
	wounds[]={"pathtoregulartexture1.paa","pathtowoundedtexture1.paa","pathtoregulartexture2.paa","pathtowoundedtexture2.paa"};
};

However you need to add paths to all vanilla face textures, otherwise they won't work as expected.

Now this will be a lot of code, so best method is to create a base class for all your units that will contain wound definitions for all textures you're going to do. Otherwise you would need to repeat all that for every single unit.

I already did that.
 
What I am trying to do is replace standart BIS models with the ones from ww4 (which I transfered to a different .pbo).

Your config looks ok to me. Are the p3d models binarized ? I suspect the hex editing not being enough then.

I did some tests and realized that something is wrong with .p3d but I don't know what. Everything looks fine, except for the wounds.

 

Yes, .p3d are in ODOL format.

The wounds are probably based on a model from ww3. You may need to also replace the BIS model with the ww3 model.

 

With some model replacements I've been doing i replaced the unit models and the wound textures

In my experience not. I'm using XVI32, maybe try with that one? (From Addon Request thread I understand that you're using HexEdit - should be really the same but who knows?) Never had any problems with hex-edited models, but then I've never done it to infantry...
