khaosmatical 237 Posted August 19, 2016 Hi there, I've recently bought Apex to explore Tanoa and all its wonderful areas. However I seem to encounter a jarring and really noticeable LOD change problem with grass wherein it will literally change in-front of my eyes and new strands of grass will pop in within 5 meters or so of my character. This also applies with some roots as well and it's pretty off-putting to play in a jungle environment when small shrubs are sporadically growing within meters of me and grass is popping in and out.Now I'm imagining this is a new system designed to help performance but if not does anyone know the root cause? I've uninstalled and reinstalled it to a non-SSD which didn't fix it so I reinstalled ARMA back onto my SSD and the problem still presents itself. Even with every setting set to ultra this LOD problem still persists. My NVidia drivers are up to date as well as ARMA and my PC specifications can be found in my signature if that could even be a factor.I appreciate any assistance given. KeyCat 131 Posted August 19, 2016 Nothing we can do...it's an engine issue and hopefully BIS can improve it since it is quite annoying. /KC

khaosmatical 237 Posted September 22, 2016 So after playing a very short session today I've noticed this problem is now occurring on Altis to an extreme degree. Is this degree of LOD changing/object loading the same for anyone else?

khaosmatical 237 Posted December 1, 2016 If it's an engine problem I'll stop posting here but I did record a video again just now after installing the latest update and it's still there. I did put up a post on the feedback tracker and it's been "reviewed" so I pray to God that it gets fixed in the next update. It is stopping me creating the cinematic I want to do entirely because ITS SO DAMN NOTICEABLE!
HeroesandvillainsOS 1504 Posted December 1, 2016 https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/198351-unbearable-pop-in-with-grass-and-bushes-high-fps-anything-i-can-do/ For me it's not even about cinematics. I can't play with the grass popping in like this. I'm not a particularly good player, so I rely on spotting movement out of my peripheral vision to even remotely stand a chance. How can you do that when the whole damn game is moving along with you? I read the changelog today and feel totally gutted they didn't fix it. Can you add the video to your ticket and also link it here?
