Samelborp 0 Posted November 4, 2002 Check this video (WMV file, 1,82 MB). Can you fly this low, or lower? Forgive me for the rough cut and the music, Windows Movie Maker sucks big time and I am still trying to get the PC sound to my DV camcorder. Averkey results are kinda blurry, too. OFPunk 0 Posted November 5, 2002 Dude you hella suck but I guess if you are using a mouse you have an excuse. And screw going up for buildings just go around them, right next to them. Someone could have shot you with a LAW several times.
Samelborp 0 Posted November 5, 2002 Hehehe, yes I know I could do it better (lower) with joystick and rudders, but I think that keyboard and mouse are very usable in this game, at least with choppers. I used a cheap Averkey to send the video signal to my DV camcorder and Windows Movie Maker to edit. If only OPF had a replay feature!... I suppose the best thing would be to set up a LAN party and have some player to act as a camera, this way we could record all kind of stunts, without the crappy AI... nierop 0 Posted November 5, 2002 AI.... ...did Samelborp trigger some rushes of testosteron.....yuk But yes, i found out that working with a joystick works somewhat better then what you did in your movie. The only reason for this is, to my opinion, is that you have sensitive throttle control; the rest you can do perfectly with keyboard and mouse (except for rolls, that you didnt do in your movie). Good throttle control makes that you dont have those upward overshoots when evading objects/terain. So, low flying is better with joystick...yes...but its just as easy with keyboerd, mouse and just the joystick trottle control. And then again, we have a kick ass pilot in our squad that has never heard of a joystick Keep up practice, Pimmelorus [sHoP]

theavonlady 2 Posted November 5, 2002 Well, someone flew this low over our heads this morning. The windows rattled unbelievabley and it took them ages at the office to pry my fingernails out of the ceiling.
InqWiper 0 Posted November 5, 2002 I only fly that low every time I can get my hands on a chopper I practised diving with choppers befor and I got really good at it, flying as straight down with the nose as possible from like 200 meters, diving quick, pulling up missing the ground with like 4-6 feet (think it was 0 once but thats just one of those extreme cases). Im not good a diving anymore...I did however do something really cool (atleast thats what I think) with an A10 LGB and I made a little video of it, the program makes the omputer run much slower so I had to setacctime to like 0.5 so it wouldnt look speeded. The thing is that it was harder with setacctime 0.5 I made it the 2nd attempt with normal speed (the time I wanted to record it I mean cuz I have practised some ealrier) but when I slowed down the speed it took like 10-20 tries. Anyway Im gonna see if I can upload it on sphosting... -Edit It would upload cuz it was too big, its like 21MB and I havent payd for an account so I think the filesizelimit is 1MB but I thought it was worth a shot. Anyway what I did was to fly an A10 LGB under the bridge in the triangle (under the bridge and closer to land then the closest support(I dont know the name for it, its those things that hold the bridge up U know ;-) )). Maybe someone saw the screenshot in the stuntman thread.
FSPilot 0 Posted November 5, 2002 Once I flew so low, I actually landed the plane safely. Then, I was so low, I actually taxied the plane to parking.

When your in a helicopter and gliding over the sea, the game seems to not let u try and go through the water, so you can fly at height 1 over the water in a chopper.
