Independence lost?

I haven't been around these parts in oh so long of a time. Quick question for those with the knowledge. Whats going on with Flashpoint 2 and that other game based on the Flashpoint engine "Indepedence Lost"? Also, the flashpoint engine ever going to get any graphics upgrades or what? Its an awesome game and I'm wondering with all of the things in the game is it even possible for the graphics to go up a notch.

I thought it was just me. I never saw the review for the original Flashpoint in PC gamer but I did see the recent review for Resistance which got a 70% and they stated the graphics still weren't up to par, which led me to the obvious conclusion that the review of the original must have stated the same thing about clunky movements and graphics. It would be so much better with smooth movement and graphics similar to maybe BF42 or MOHAA agreed?

What those uneducated dumbass reviewers fail to realize is that a level 100 square kilometers in size cannot have the clarity and detail of the latest 3D games which are in comparison hardly 5 square kilometers in size or its frame rate would be utterly slow.

There is no Independence Lost nor Flashpoint 2 as far as I know.

You've never seen the screenshots of Independence Lost? That was a couple of monts ago when I saw it but it looked pretty far advanced then so I was wondering how far along it is now seeing that I forgot the sight it was on and cant go there.

I didn't imply he did.

But I think that BIS have done a good job with managing Nogova and the frame rate

It is always annoying to see the old graphics over game play issue brought up as it can only end in one way.

Of course it would be nice if the graphics were better but I don't think any PC could handle them (as a top range PC couldn't handle OFPR on top graphics settings now)

I have never seen anything wrong with the graphics. I just want to be able to play with at least 32 people with little lag. From the first time I saw this game (before the first demo) I had this picture in my head of lots people in planes, tanks, and troops all over. The only reason I mess with games like Delta Force is because of all the people in one game. Its also nice to be able to join in the middle game. Its to bad the other games like DF have that life bar thing. I hate that you can shoot a guy like 30 times before he dies. The jump button is also used in a bad way too. People will hop around and fire like a rabbit. It is nice to be able to jump up on things, but they need to disable the fire when you jump. OFP kicks butt when it comes to realism.

probably searching for IL2, Independence Lost would yield some old threads that you can go through and try to pry out some speculative stuffs.

however, there is no point in speculating in what could be next in BIS's agenda. when it comes, it will come.

if you have some constructive criticism/request for features, you can add it to a pinned threaded in GENERAL section.
