I want the DLC ads gone and don't care if they block the content. How ?

I'm just playing ARMA 3 sometimes with a friend. I don't want the DLC content, because I will never have this as a main game. I've paid for the game, so I'm not responsible for the makers decision giving me the option to try the dlc content. I don't want to try the dlc content, just block it from none paying people and remove the ads please. Stop using negative manipulation by teasing people to throw money at you! I've paid for the game, so how can I set my experience up for only what I paid for?

If that's no option at all, then I will never pay for or play any ARMA titles ever again. I never kneel to manipulators, because you just want to use people! Have some dignity - Don't YOU want to be treated with respect?

No one wants you to kneel, as the post above points out, don't use what you haven't paid for.

Now coming on these forums and avoid reading extreme statements and exaggerations based on the lack of understanding or facts, that's more difficult.

There are so many people posting about this lately its unreal.

I don't have a problem with people asking about removing DLC content and/or trying to remove the ad pop-ups, but what I do have a problem with is how they go about it.

There have been several threads (this week alone there have been at least 2 I've seen including this one), that are just plain rude. Instead of just being a polite "Hey guys, I'm annoyed by the DLC ad pop-ups, is there a way to hide the content so I don't use it by accident? That way I can avoid seeing the ads". We get a childish rant at BIS with name-calling and accusation-throwing that just makes the poster come across as a dick (I have some experience of this, being one myself).

Anyway, BIS didn't make the DLC content available to everyone to make you "kneel" or to manipulate you into buying it (well, maybe a little but they aren't holding a gun to your head). They did it because they realise the community is the very life-blood of the games they produce. They realise that by putting content exclusively behind pay-walls that they would fragment and divide the community as some would own the content, but those who didn't wouldn't be able to play with them due to requiring the content. People are complaining enough that Tanoa is behind such a pay-wall, without the DLCs being behind them too!

I understand the frustration that comes with the pop-ups and ads - they're annoying as hell. But at the end of the day its marketing. I don't see you posting on video forums bemoaning the ads on YouTube (maybe you do, I don't know/care).

I'm not saying don't ask questions or don't complain about issues you're concerned about, I'm just saying don't be a dick about it.

As the other posts have said-If you dont want the ads, dont use DLC content. Then the ads wont pop up. You are getting ads because you are using content you have not paid for. Otherwise the only time you will see and ad is occasionally in a loading screen.

There are several other topics like this and no need for a new one-Locking.
