RedLion 0 Posted October 30, 2002 I put aside about $400.00 US dollars for a new video card. I also bought the 3D EDimensional glasses for the game. I have a Dell P4 2.0 GHz 640 mb of RD Ram Operating system-Windows ME Soundblaster Live! 16x DVD Drive In order to render the best video experience for OFP on my PC, what video card should I purchase? Mister Frag 0 Posted October 30, 2002 Right now, there are basically two choices: a GeForce4 Ti4600 or a Radeon 9700 Pro. The GeForce has much more stable drivers, while the Radeon can whip the GeForce as far as performance is concerned. In the very near future, the NV30 (GeForce5?) from NVIDIA will be released, and it in turn will leap-frog the Radeon again in terms of performance. Thus, whatever you spend your money on today will already be a second-tier card tomorrow. I would thus try to find a nice compromise between price, stability, and performance. OFP doesn't take full advantage of either card anyway, so go with something that is good-enough. My choice would be the GeForce4 4600, possibly even a 4200 that can perform as well as a 4600, such as the Albatron 4200P Turbo. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
