"Guarded by" trigger does not work in 3DEN editor.

The "Guarded by" trigger does not properly interact with the "Guard" waypoint in the 3DEN editor. Units will proceed to the guard waypoint but do not move to the guard location set by the trigger.

 

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a trigger set to "Guarded by [faction]"
  2. Place a unit of the same faction.
  3. Give the above unit a "Guard" waypoint (not on the guard location)
  4. Launch scenario and observe.

The Unit will move to the guard waypoint, then stop and stand there. They still react to enemies, but don't use any of the additional functionality that the guard trigger/waypoint combination is supposed to add.

Doing the same in the 2D editor yields the proper results.

problem still exists, after apex. i guess i should make a feedback tracker ticket...

I hope this will get fixed as I've wanted to use the guard waypoints for some time now...

Strange, I just tested one of my missions to see if this was an issue but it seemed to work as intended in EDEN and 2D. Sent two squads to assault an objective with about 4 enemy squads lurking around in the jungle with guard on. When the squads were detected the enemy moved a few squads up to engage them. Do you have any custom AI addons loaded? What "additional functionality" where you expecting overall?
