captmoose344 29 Posted February 27, 2016 Out of curiosity would it at all be possible to have the arma3 engine support the streaming in and out civilians in the environments. This way cities and roads would have traffic, or people walking next to the roads or even in and out of the hospital and such. What is missing is a good representation of others who live there and if we as mission makers can not populate the entire map with civilians due to processing ability and not take a hit performance wise. I would really like to see Arma take this part of environmental design to the next level and allow us to see that others (AI civis) live in these wonderful worlds you have created. Alex150201 894 Posted February 27, 2016 Well right now you have 2 options. First you CAN populate the whole map with civilians and stuff without butchering performance by using a very beautiful module called "Simulation Manager". What you do is give it a range and anything you have placed out of that range will simply despawn but when it's in range of the player again it will spawn back. Second option you have is a very neat and nice script made by bangabob called "Civilian Occupation System" it basically spawns civilian AI in towns and cities. You can also blacklist towns in the script making them look abandoned or evacuated. Yes, with scripting that is possible. Some of my missions stream traffic in, when you drive along roads (Escape for example).
