XMortX 10 Posted September 15, 2015 Hey guys, is there a way to add server side mods like zombies or EM into the mission file so players don't have to hunt down all these mods that aren't on the launcher? Just to clarify I am talking about converting the mods so they run mission-side, not simply adding them and then have the players put them in the correct place. EM (Enhanced Movement) I´m almost certain Bad Benson will give his blessings but Ryan´s zombies is 30 megabytes mod, your mission is going to be over 50 megas, I don´t think it is much praticall to include it inside your mission, but ask Ryan for his blessings and you´re good to go =) (Giving the proper credit inside the mission documentation and Steamworkshop description, of course!!!) XMortX 10 Posted September 16, 2015 Yeah I haven't worked out the practicalities of doing this to be honest but I host on a high speed dedibox so I'm hoping that a 50mb mission file shouldn't take too long to download! Ok I have zero issues asking for permission, I just thought that the content would be covered under the Creative Commons licence (I think that's what it's called) and figured that providing I was giving credit to the content creator, I would be fine, but like I said, I have no problem asking for permission so that's what I'll do! So, saying that I get permission hypothetically, how would I go about converting the mod to run from the mission file? I'm not suggesting that I'll do this before permission as I just used those 2 mods as examples, my question would encompass all mods effectively? Mamba Six 11 Posted September 29, 2015 It depends on what type of mod you are trying to convert. Mods that include models, such as new vehicles, weapons, or units, cannot be included mission-side. If a mod is just a collection of scripts created to auto-run in a mission, then they can easily be converted to run mission-side. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
